DLSite is the only place you can get English translated hentai for the same price native Japanese people do. All the other sites (J18, Fakku, Irodori) cost three times as much because of all the overhead that goes into running a hentai translation business.

I'm just much more accustomed to free movement where you just move the character directly. Grid movement adds a layer of abstraction.

Something nice about playing older games is remembering how simple games used to be. You could get away with a lot when there was so little to work with.

I was looking at my toaster that I've had for 15 years and admired its simplicity. It has a lever you depress to toast and a dial to toast longer. That's all. There's no electronics in it. It's entirely analog. And it still works great 15 years later.

I've been playing through Oracle of Seasons over the weekend and got to the 7th dungeon. I like the items in Seasons. The magnet glove is one of the best items in a 2D Zelda game. It's a shame they've never reappeared since.

Magical Melody is the Harvest Moon game that I loved the ideas it brought to the table, but abhorred the execution. It was a terrible game to play.

That being said, I could never get into A Wonderful Life. I could never get past the second year without dropping it out of sheer boredom. Harvest Moon games are slow, but this was next-level slow.

In looking up a female PC mod for Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, I came across an old blog detailing their journey in reverse engineering the game to accomplish it. People used to do these sort of things before AI. It's something we can't do anymore. We just don't know how.

Beat Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga on my Anbernic RGSP in about 11.5 hours. It was fun revisiting this game. I remember struggling a lot as a kid. I was breezing through as an adult. By late game, I was one-shotting bosses. The game still very much holds up.
