i’m of the opinion that 3D mario itself plays so different moment-to-moment (and is structured so differently) from the 2D entries that, to me, it feels like a skin slapped on another IP. great but not mario. SM3D Land/World are my favorite for finally bringing the 2D feel to the polygon games

thank you so much for the explanation! @gussehack.bsky.social if you could look into making a firmware that sends a long enough shutdown command to make the PS2 turn off when using the HDD for PSBBN i’d greatly appreciate it. otherwise i have to manually turn it off even with this amazing mod

there’s a dumb trick to it. hold the analog stick up and roll it along the edge left and right to make the car turn properly. i think they were trying to treat the stick like a wheel; real dumb but when you get it it’s fine
