Jae Koyanagi @jaekoyanagi.com · 20mToday's writing/revision session saw Deleyora's on-page introduction, and I'm so much more pleased with this versus my approach in the first draft. It's so much fun to explore his perspective again. I just love this sweet cephalopod man 060

Jae Koyanagi @jaekoyanagi.com · 02/10/2026I couldn't agree more! And this story is largely *about* connection and intimacy and interdependence, so. It's necessary 020
Jae Koyanagi @jaekoyanagi.com · 02/10/2026It's what I love. I love novels--reading them, writing them. I love developing characters & experiencing them taking on a life of their own; I love building worlds for them to inhabit and letting those worlds affect who they are. I love crafting prose, shaping sentences. I love it all. #pretendpanel 1231
Jae Koyanagi @jaekoyanagi.com · 02/10/2026Me too! I adore stories that take their time; I know this one wouldn't be what it needs to be if I were to try to speed it up. Thank you so much, Kelly ❤️ 010
