If Alastor really liked him, then perhaps rejecting Vox was hard for him, but also that rejection was intended to strengthen Vox, by Alastor's standards. Perhaps they can come to a mutual understanding, but also Alastor spent a lot of time manipulating Vox to get him there. So.... i dunno.

Vox is obsessed, though. And Alastor clearly doesn't make friends (yet.) It seems to me that, while Al may have been fond of/actually friends with Vox once, I think their relationship was always about Alastor seeing Vox's potential to become the strongest sinner in hell. To free Alastor.

That said, I wonder if the show will end with people, who've earned it, being able to settle wherever they prefer. Lots of families are separated. Like Angel and Molly. Maybe those rules can change.

I feel you so hard. I finally get a medical test done next week, and I'm stopping my exercises just to 100% make sure it finds where my nerves are being fucked. If it turns up nothing I will be so upset. Give me something concrete to tackle, ffs. (These exercises don't do much anyway.)

I will say I’m a bit anxious of the trailer drop so I’m gonna try to be offline when it comes out. But regardless of reaction I have to express how much the show leveled up this season. His goal of becoming a god/being worshipped starts with him having no rivals left in hell, and I think that's what he means. He's at the top of the entertainment ladder, which could be the specific reference, and why he then turns to question Alastor. Al was his last competition.

Asexuality is a type of sexuality. It's right there in the name. Although, you have tiny bit of a point. I identify as lesbian and graysexual. That said, both are aspects of my sexuality and in the longer form, LGBTQIA+ the A stands for asexual. Plus plenty asexuals have 0 interest in any gender.

So I find the idea of being upset because one iteration of lesbianism is too stereotypical (which, stereotypes exist for a reason but also can be done poorly, yes) to be... unappreciative of where we're at. Like, can we just say "crap writing" and move on because soooo many movies are just crap?

I'm probably much older than you, but I used to drink up the slightest bit of lesbian representation, so long as it wasn't homophobic, because it hardly existed. I was a teen when Ellen came out on her show and promptly got blacklisted for years. When lesbians were only eyecandy for men in media.

Sorry. I haven't the movies in question, but I gotta know. Is your issue that the writing is bad/condescending and perhaps homophobic, or is your problem that it doesn't represent your experience. Cause I gotta say, LGBTQ+ people, even when narrowed down into subcategories, are widely varied.

I adore Lucifer, but he has a major prejudice against sinners. It absolutely comes out as classist and bigotry, even though the causes may be very sympathetic. Sinners failed him, in so many ways, in Lu's mind. On the other hand he's totally checked out of his life and hell, and so now he's easing

It's very true. Change only happens if they are willing. I know too many people who need help but will never accept it. It's so hard, knowing that if they put the effort in, they could change their lives. (Most of them.) Fortunately, I keep friends with those who do.

I dunno about this art, but no way Lucifer isn't non-binary, genderfluid, or just beyond gender to begin with. He was created before time and gender, imho, but is also a shapeshifter so he could be anything. I assume he got used to being a man because of Lilith, but no way he's always been a man.
