iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I’ve been wracking my brain and emotions to figure out the words to say after the sheer amount of talent and institutional knowledge we lost today. All I will say is that everyone affected today is a downright badass and deserves a spot on any team so if you are able to assist them please do so.

We are tired of posting statements like these.

Today was an awful day at IGN. We were blindsided by the layoff of four union members and many more people across the organization who contributed years of their careers to making IGN an unparalleled voice in games and entertainment.

With each successive layoff, core parts of IGN’s operation continue to be stripped away. Today, IGN has decided to do away with many of our talented producers, editors, hosts, and other crucial roles, both within and out of the union. How many layoffs will occur before we no longer recognize the company we work for and the content that we make?

While we recognize the challenges the media industry is facing as a whole, it is difficult to understand how laying off valuable employees better positions us to meet those challenges. In turn, remaining employees bear additional workloads worsened by anxiety over the ever-looming threat of another layoff.

We are devastated, angry, and heartbroken for our colleagues.

Not a problem only wish I could be more helpful, I left Fandom back in 2020/2021 so I’m not sure who there would be in charge of that stuff anymore as most I knew there have left as well.

Today, the IGNCG sent this letter to our President of Ziff Davis Gaming & Entertainment to demand pay that reflects the rate of inflation in our contract. Please join us in asking @errorjustin.bsky.social, @peer-ign.bsky.social, @corradimus.bsky.social, and @yprough.bsky.social to pay us fairly.

Union says fuck it, takes lunch at 11:30am to show our solidarity ✊ Today, the IGNCG is celebrating May Day! We’re a bit early, but we’re just too excited about getting our first contract done. We’ve got pizza and pride in the work we’re doing to make IGN a better place for all of us. 💜

On Jan. 14, our parent company Ziff Davis laid off 5 of our members, days after our successful CES showing as the CNET Group. This is the third round of layoffs since Ziff acquired CNET in 2024. We’re sick of our members being on the chopping block. Read our full statement below:

Nope she’s still alive last I checked. I think one of the other language VA’s may have died earlier this year.

Jadarina @jadarina.bsky.social · 20/10/2025

Can’t wait to see what comes of this, I can’t think of someone I know more fit for a role like this.

I don’t follow, because it’s yen instead of dollars? Anyone can google the conversion, she’s a JP voice actor being honored in Japan so she’s awarded money in JP currency. I just don’t get the issue, I think it’s cool that she’s the first VA to get this award and she’s paid for it too.

I don’t think anyone would be mad about getting an extra 30k a year.

Not sure but if I had to rate it about 15 hours in an 8 feels about right and I’m ok with that.

So far so good, the battle system has the potential to be deeper than I expected now that it’s all real time and you have to manage cast times, cooldowns, range and positioning in addition to favorable match ups.

This is the set I’ve been waiting all my life for! Over the moon excited I was able to order everything I wanted! Some players say Universes Beyond is bad but they just haven’t got their dream crossover yet. Turtles are going to be my whole Magic personality! #TMNT

I played my first competitive flag football game in years over the weekend and I kid you not this is what it felt like for our team of free agents vs the one team in the league with matching custom jerseys.

Theoretically you could use a ps5 controller on PC if the adaptive triggers work as intended there, because the adaptive triggers I feel add a lot to the experience.

Jadarina @jadarina.bsky.social · 25/09/2025

The triggers work amazing in it, it’s crazy how much control you have over his feet and legs based on what pressure you apply.

Yeah I think we have a while to wait since the Switch release is tomorrow. I imagine we will hear early to mid next year about either a late 2026 or mid 2027 other console release all depending on how long the exclusivity deal is.

I could definitely see an intergrade type expansion that gives us a chance to mess around with Vincent and/or Cid, like we got with Yuffie last time.
