Trust is the foundation of everything, and when it erodes, the consequences run deeper than we realize.

Jacob Lund @jacoblund.com · 08/03/2025

Look at something like a SpaceX rocket suddenly crashing from the sky just as Elon Musk’s true personality comes into sharper focus. Is it purely coincidence, or does it reflect something deeper? What happens when employees feel disillusioned—when they no longer feel motivated to do their best work?

When looking at the actions of Trump and Elon, you imagine what this does to the thousands of people who feel betrayed—who’ve lost their faith in leadership? What happens to their willingness to stay loyal, to strive for excellence?

I’m not even American - but I wish every single American would watch this to see what is happening to their country.

Wow - the irony. After pardoning all the violent insurrectionists from the Jan 6 Capitol attack.

Have you tried copying text from ChatGPT into Apple Notes to discover the formatting all messed up? Having to spend time fixing all the formatting? My highlight of the day was discovering that someone made a simple tool fixing that problem. 👉 aitonotes.com

Is this what happens when you elect leadership who’s full on “Art of the Deal”-capitalists? Is he siding with Russia because he can’t get his minerals deal? Are the American people really just going to sit and watch this happen?

Love this scene. The way Robin Williams insists by repeating it over and over again - finally breaking down the barrier. So good.

Sounds like the “dangerously unstable politician” from Stephen King’s The Dead Zone could be the 47th president of the United States. 🤔 Does he fit the description @stephenking.bsky.social ? From On Writing by Stephen King. #booksky

Can a President in the United States single handedly control everything with executive orders? How does this work?🤔

Interesting perspective. I tried switching to Apple Music as I heard they pay artists better. Is that accurate? Unfortunately I do find Spotifys recommendations much better than Apple, and their UI also much better.

Quite clever the way Bluesky handles account verification- letting users use their own domain in their username and thereby verifying themselves without having to pay or wait for a moderation team to verify.

Apple Notes is brilliant. But I was using Bear for a while simply because the typography looked better. Steve Jobs launched the Mac as the first computer with beautiful typography. Apple, could you please carry on this into Apple Notes. 🙏

I’d agree to both. Delete it all, but then again Instagram is also where my biggest following is as a photographer. But I deleted Facebook and will just be using Insta for posting. Will def not install any new apps from Meta.

Shutterstock and Getty Images merging! It's going to be interesting to see how that pans out. I'm thinking it's probably not to the advantage of contributors.

You are 100% right about that. In fact they compensate the contributors on their platform for training usage. Definitely the most “ethically correct” way of doing this thing.
