I’d recommend Ableton personally. I like and use both but for midi programming Ableton is miles ahead of Logic imo. You’ll be dipping your toes into midi waters often for the genres you’ve listed. For ref, I make ambient and electronic music. When I record bands or instruments I’ll go with Logic

I would recommend getting an Akai LPK25 midi keyboard ($55usd) and Ableton Live Intro ($70). Some may recommend using a free DAW like Audacity but Ableton’s built in plug ins are incredible and can do plenty to get you started. Thats it!
