Many people are saying!!!! (bonus: another slide from pigcon)

A screenshot of a slide. The top bullet is circled and reads "Free yourself of the game ever being good, successful, important, popular, or proftiable"

been thinking a lot about my talk at PIGCON last weekend, which was (not so) subtly begging people to make weirder games *the first point is not well written i'm sorry i made this slide like half an hour before my presentation

A basic white slide with black text. The title reads "Jack's Three Truths About the World". Three bullet points after that...
- Not everyone who makes games can make money
- Putting art in the world is valuable
- Making games that distort/stretch/bend/break the medium is necessary for a vibrant art field

Movies are good. Ending that live rent free in my head.

The ending scene of Midnight Cowboy, featuring Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight

A still from the end of Tár. A wide shot of a symphony playing music.

A still from the end of the film Another Round. Mads Mikkelsen smiles with his eyes closed while dancing on the coast.

On the other end I don't love the font but the cleanliness of Ordinary Affects is really nice

The cover of Kathleen Stewart's Ordinary Affects. It is a white cover with a black and white image of three children in a suburban yard watching a tree burn.
