I see the Jets finally got an interception after 21 games. It reminds me of the Baltimore Oriole who lost their first 21 games in 1988. Teams hated to play them because no one wanted to be the first team they beat. Looks like Tyson Bagent gets the honor of being intercepted by the Jets

I used to like a site that does online quizzes. Still go back once in a while, but they've had to go heavily towards ads. (They had a subscription you could do, but maybe not enough people did that.) The problem is that they have ads that sometimes take over the screen as you're taking a quiz!

Title: Just announced! Three new Gruffalo books commissioned from bestselling authors!

Lee Chilld:
The Gruffalo just wants a quiet life, but when a crime syndicate moves into the deep dark wood, he must use his terrible claws and the terrible teeth in his terrible jaws to protect the fellow.

Sally Rooney:
The Gruffalo moves to contemporary Dublin. He
ill ever see past his orange eyes, purple prickles and poisonous wart.

We get a lot of “explain it to me as if I were 5” but we should also have “explain it to me as if I were 65 and grew up in a time when this sort of thing wasn’t real”

OK, "lawyered up" makes sense on a TV police procedural when an ordinary suspect gets legal representation. It does not make sense when discussing large/significant entities like corporations, organizations, and universities. So Cornell cannot "lawyer up" because they're always heavily "lawyered"

The problem with Skydance is that Sundance and Moondance are already established and so it sounds like a bad copy. Also Sky Dancers were a line of flying toys from the mid-90s. (And those were recalled by the manufacturer because they were dangerous toys causing 100 reported injuries)

Anyone who has ever said “what difference could a couple degrees make” when talking about climate change has never woken up in October to a house that was three degrees colder than they expected

Late night thoughts when I can’t sleep: The 3 Investigator had a plot device called Ghost to Ghost hookup where they phoned friends and had them phone their friends and so on to see if anyone had seen something. It often tied up the telephone network

I think the one thing that we can agree on is no one knows what this winter will be like. I've seen some forecasts where it's going to be bitterly cold and others where it's possible we don't have much of a winter at all. Probably just like any other year, but with more mentions of El Niño

The latest strange videos I’ve been getting on YouTube are “boneless” couch unpackings. These are foam couches that are vacuum packed and rolled up. Then the customer breaks the vacuum seal and they start to expand

I’m going to stay out of the AI music playlist debate. Honestly, at some point you decide you just want to listen to the stuff you liked in high school and college

Is it Minnesota teams just can’t beat teams from New York in the post season? I thought it was just the Twins, but maybe it’s a universal truth. Like when the Vikings lost 41-0 to the Giants in the NFC Championship game

People have been using "Artificial Intelligence" for about 70 years. I know it's a living language and all, but one person doesn't get to update it. Plus SI is already in use. (SI units from Système international d'unités)

I was looking at Grokipedia and it was describing someone using twitter to get his message out. If Musk can’t get his own AI to call it X, maybe he should just change its name back to twitter

That feeling when someone posts a screen shot which includes the close X and you keep poking at that to close the image instead of the real close X up and to the right. I feel like those emus trying to eat pictures of food.

I'd listen to "Choosin' Texas" to see if I had heard "Choosin' Texas," but as soon as I had done that, I'd have heard "Choosin' Texas." Let's just say, I don't believe I've heard "Choosin' Texas" unless it was used as background music or in a video. Maybe a TV story on "Choosin' Texas" played it

The “I’ll only serve two terms” con is one of the best a US Senate candidate can run. Who will remember in 12 years? And if they do pull up an old campaign speech with the promise, just say I’m in a position of authority now and can do so much more for the state

So they have prescription eye drops that let you read without reading glasses. Cool, I guess, but how much are you paying not to wear glasses? How much money did some drug company spend bring this product to market?

Not sure I'd be able to name a good TV series from the 21st century. 1) Most of the good shows have been on services I don't subscribe to and 2) I have no idea what was on in the last 26 years and what was on back in the olden times
