I feel like the fresh wave of "cancel your nitro!" calls after months of those same calls is just yet another example of the futility of consumer activism. It's not coordinated, there are no demands or representatives, so when it doesn't work people just assume we didn't do it enough.

The new Surviving Mars DLC is a lot of fun, as evidenced by me zoning out until 3AM playing it, but I am noticing that the icons for the new food processes have that uncanny shading that's usually a tell for AI assets. I want to assume it's not but I did that for Sins 2 and was wrong.

I feel like the combination of "everyone is using AI now" and "nobody is buying products that use AI anymore" should really dispel the myth that business people are rational actors. "oh if it sells well it'll set a precedent" no they don't work like that, stop worrying about it like that.
