Contrary to popular belief, the most popular time travel destination is actually Victorian England It’s absolutely overrun with time travelers trying to make random Victorian children listen to Skrillex or eat Takis or whatever and watch their reaction

FWIW I’m a big fan of I Think You Should Leave, and the tone of the movie almost felt like an I Think You Should Leave sketch at times. Again, I can see how that would be a negative, but it worked for me.

The general plot points of the ending were basically what I expected by the middle of the movie, but the silliness of it was unexpected But taking it for what it was and just rolling with it, it was genuinely funny to me. The more I think about the movie the more I like it, and want to see it again

jackiecous @jackiecous.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

I liked it quite a bit, but I went in with really measured expectations. Weapons and Barbarians are better films (Weapons is the best overall imo) but I enjoyed RE for what it was - almost a full length comedy sketch disguised as a horror movie - while fully recognizing that could be disappointing

Austin Abrams’s performance in Resident Evil was truly great *but* the movie would’ve been even better if they had cast Tim Robinson as the lead Just literally shoot the same exact movie with no changes except for that

I’ve had a conversation like this at every networking event I’ve been to in the last year:

The umbrella academy driving meme. Chekhov is driving from right to left and making eye contact with Five as he drives left to right.
The captions read:
Top: diversifying into animation because the games industry is a binfire
Bottom: diversifying into games because the animation industry is a binfire.

Lol I wanted to do something interesting with it 😂 Honestly the reason I didn’t do this sooner was that I wanted to do it this way but was apprehensive to composite it. Wasn’t too tricky in the end:

Weezer’s gold album is really really good. It’s wild to see Weezer put out a really good album and the public noticing and acknowledging it and having a good time with it. But I’m also seeing a lot of SZNZ slander and I want to remind folks SZNZ contains some of Weezer’s best output ever.
