Labour's budget doesn't even touch the sides when it comes to the challenges confronting our public services. We were promised things would be better with two Labour governments in power, but this budget is more about papering over cracks than addressing the real challenges facing our communities.

Outside of the NHS, the Welsh Government Budget is 10% lower in real terms compared with 2010. A Budget that leaves Wales with less compared with 14 years ago is not worth celebrating.

The tax-free £10 Christmas Bonus is going into bank accounts around now. It is paid to 12 million pensioners and others on long term benefits such as widows and some disabled people. First introduced in 1972 when the basic state pension was £6.75 a week, today it should be £251.

It is outrageous that over half of claims for #pensioncredit have been unsuccessful! Could it be to do with the threshold being way below the #poverty line, & the unfair 2 tier threshold that prevents anyone on full new #StatePension from applying? Including many asset-stripped #50sWomen?

Remember this, 60% of benefits go to pensioners, of the other 40%, 40% goes to people who work but are underpaid. When they are talking about reducing benefits they are talking about your pension/child benefits/child tax credits... Because that is nearly 80% of it.
