At least I got to see a cool ship - presumably we'd have had to wait for the lift bridge to move to let it through!

I went on the Canary Wharf to Rotherhithe Pier ferry on the weekend. It cost £4.10 and took seven minutes from tap in to tap out (longer when you include waiting for the ferry to arrive). It's mad that this country can't build a bridge from one of its major financial centres to a nearby suburb.

Tower Hamlets says Victoria Park closes at dusk but this is an hour before dusk???? Also, imo, parks should not close at night, but if they have to dusk is such a rubbish choice in the UK given how early it gets. It should be dusk or like 8pm, whichever is later.

Extremely upset at the apparent discontinuation of the elite Sainsbury's Meal Deal wrap, the Mozzarella, Basil and Pesto. We are now left with the Falafel & Hummus and the fake chicken goujon wrap as the veggie options. How can life get any worse?

Someone put me as "mild frailty" on my NHS profile back in 2022 it's so over
Fig 1. Clinical Frailty Scale
1. Very fit
People who are robust, active, energetic and motivated. They commonly exercise regularly and are among the fittest for their age.
2. Well
People who have no active disease symptoms but are less fit than category 1. Typically, they exercise or are very active occasionally, such as seasonally.
3. Managing well
People whose medical problems are well controlled but are not regularly active beyond routine walking.
4. Vulnerable
While not dependent on others for daily help, often symptoms limit activities. A common complaint is being 'slowed up' and/or being tired during the day.
5. Mildly frail
People often have more evident slowing and need help with high-order IADLs. Typically, mild frailty progressively impairs shopping and walking outside alone, meal preparation and housework.

Cognitive dissonance on the H***y P****r HBO subreddit
Rule 10: Discussions Regarding JK Rowling's Political Views Are Not Allowed

To maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment, this subreddit does not allow discussions about J.K. Rowling’s political beliefs, public statements, or involvement in real-world political or social issues.

This community is for fans who want to discuss the upcoming Harry Potter series on HBO and the wider universe including the books and films. Conversations about the author’s personal views often lead to division, heated arguments, and discomfort for members who simply want to enjoy the world of Harry Potter.

We recognize that J.K. Rowling’s political commentary has affected how many people engage with the franchise, and understand that her activism has negatively impacted transgender individuals. However, this subreddit exists to focus on the fictional world and to give fans of all backgrounds a space to enjoy that world without being drawn into broader political debates.

Please avoid:

Posts or comments about Rowling’s social or political positions
Arguments about separating the work from the author
References to current political movements unless directly relevant to in-universe content
Attempts to debate Rowling’s public reputation or activism

Posts and comments violating these guidelines will be removed. Users may be banned depending on the nature of the content.

The Met Police updated its media Service Level Statement on Monday this week. They now say they won't provide material from court cases, such as photos, videos, or mugshots beyond the day after sentencing or conviction. They also won't comment on wildlife crime.
Hi Jack,

I hope you’re well.

Following our updated Service Level Statement, we do not respond to enquiries surrounding wildlife crime, other than criminal offences that have a wider and significant impact on local communities.

Kind regards,
