Some states are working to override the FDA recommendations, though. Sadly, my state (New Hampshire) has so far refused to join those multi-state coalitions.

Yeah, my health insurance still covers them, but basically if you’re outside that age bracket for FDA approval, the pharmacies tend to treat it like a prescription, meaning they will only distribute it if your doctor tells them to. Which is annoying as hell and drives down vaccination rates.

I’m not certain yet, but when I got my COVID booster this past autumn, the pharmacist said I didn’t technically qualify but she winked and passed me through anyway. But she did say it was likely I would need my doctor’s recommendation to get a booster shot again in 2026.

Before it aired, I was very skeptical and I thought I wouldn’t like it all. But with each episode, I’ve been enjoying it more and more. It’s not perfect, but I don’t think any Star Trek has been. But this one has a lot of little points that I’ve loved.
