Looks really nice!!

Omgggg

jack @j4ck.xyz · 11h

if anyone has figured out how tf to safely hook up their own self hosted agent to Outlook pls lmk!! I looked the other day and it seems difficult to do as a regular personal account, you seem to need to request a whole developer account etc etc… 🥲

jack @j4ck.xyz · 12h

but it’s cool nonetheless

jack @j4ck.xyz · 12h

so basically it’s easier to connect to what you use, and it’s in more places (eg WhatsApp), and good at using a browser + it’s free! I don’t like paying like £0.50 per day for Luna in Hermes. Cool product tho. Not sure how much I trust Meta and I’m being cautious with what I hook it up to

jack @j4ck.xyz · 12h

+ bc they’re a big company they can easily get the Outlook/Gmail OAuth working. I tried to setup my Hermes agent to Outlook but with a personal account this is difficult to do. + their connection to WhatsApp is smart, cos they own it + very good at using a web browser (vs Hermes imo)

jack @j4ck.xyz · 12h

got Meta Muse working (thx @noz.am for helping me get a US FB account). the setup is a hassle, with FB and Meta accs technically being separate, even tho appearing as one unified acc.. I swear Hermes was easier to setup 😭 but: + it’s easy to setup and connect to things like outlook, notion, etc

personal data server -> public data server

jack @j4ck.xyz · 04/10/2026

LOL this one is hilarious, that old icon..:

Stock macOS App (pre installed) "Stickies", with the default file:
"It’s easy to customise your notes.

Make your notes stand out and get noticed.

• Format text using different fonts and font sizes
• Add emphasis with bold and italic text styles or colour.
• Include graphics .

Stickies has lots of other great features, including a spellchecker, import and export features, and other ways to arrange and customise your notes. Plus, you’ll find a “Make New Sticky Note” service in many applications.

Look in Help to find out more about using Stickies."

jack @j4ck.xyz · 04/10/2026

hmmm

jack @j4ck.xyz · 04/10/2026

this is really funny lmao, especially how the menu bar thing is genuinely unchanged since idek what version of macOS

Screenshot of a tweet on X (Twitter) by Macfolio (@hellomacfolio), posted on October 4, 2026 at 5:30 PM. It reads: “i love how Apple preinstalls Stickies on EVERY SINGLE MAC while also leaving it completely unchanged since 1999. truly the most perfect piece of software ever written”. 1 image is attached to the original tweet, with no description provided. A screenshot of the Stickies app on my MacBook neo, with a square menu bar button instead of the Mac traffic light icon.

jack @j4ck.xyz · 04/10/2026

meaning 1 or billions? i assume the former

jack @j4ck.xyz · 04/10/2026

that's soo cool

jack @j4ck.xyz · 04/10/2026

cool, will do god i'd get lost there. i thought i had enough open on my macbook but it's nothing compared to that lmao

jack @j4ck.xyz · 04/10/2026

:O do u wanna try it? i'm gonna open source it on github in a bit once i've tested more also holy tabs lol

jack @j4ck.xyz · 04/10/2026

yeah i'm in the same situation haha. i've got the pi, but not small display :(

jack @j4ck.xyz · 04/10/2026

I want to move away from the ChatGPT-style interface though, and almost make it easier to just interact with your agent.... not sure how to bring it that direction. I really like what people have done with making little retro animated characters for their Muse's though, so I tried to make that :)

jack @j4ck.xyz · 04/10/2026

Right now it's just a chat style interface since I've not personally got the voice stuff setup with my Hermes agent, but I am imagining a small setup on my desk, where my Hermes agent has its own dedicated display.

jack @j4ck.xyz · 04/10/2026

Incredibly specific, but is anyone running Hermes, and also owns a small display with a Raspberry Pi? I'm working on something cool but can't test this rn

jack @j4ck.xyz · 04/10/2026

lol I think this is gonna cost like £30-40 which isn’t feasible rn 😭😭

pic from the digital cam!

A photo of St Ouen's bay (Jersey, Channel Islands) on a sunny day in October. There are a lot of people surfing the waves, with the water coming quite high up the beach. There are three people stood on the beach, in the lower right of the photo.

jack @j4ck.xyz · 04/10/2026

Ohhh I could yeah! This could actually be the perfect timing ironically lol. My Raspberry Pi 4 has been dead for a few weeks now, I think it’s the SD card needing replacing. Cba to setup what I had on it before again so could use it for this if I can get a cheap enough screen!!

jack @j4ck.xyz · 04/10/2026

Don’t have a Google home lol

screw it, I should be saving but Amazon had like a small discount on a JETech transparent case so I just ordered it 🥲 this is gonna be my first case change since I got this iPhone 16 tho, excited for it to feel like an entirely new phone even if only for a bit ahaha

jack @j4ck.xyz · 04/10/2026

crazy that this is in october #photography #jerseyci

A sunny beach scene with gentle waves rolling onto the shore. Several people are wading and swimming in the shallow water. In the background, a historic stone castle sits on a rocky island under a clear blue sky.

A wide, sandy beach stretches out under a clear blue sky with gentle waves rolling in from the sea. The wet sand in the foreground reflects the sunlight, and there are small patches of seaweed scattered near the bottom left corner. The horizon is visible in the distance where the water meets the sky.

jack @j4ck.xyz · 04/10/2026

hell yeah!! someone made one for Hermes! github.com/Adolanium/he... not sure what I can use it with myself at home tho lol

Screenshot of a tweet on X (Twitter) by Adolan (@adolandev), posted on October 4, 2026 at 6:54 AM. It reads: “Hold a button. Ask Hermes. Hear the answer. Hermes Gadget is an open SDK for a small device that talks to your own @NousResearch Hermes. You speak. Hermes listens, thinks, and answers out loud. The screen shows what it's doing. If it needs your permission, it asks you right there. No hardware required to try it. The desktop simulator runs the same code as the ESP32 firmware. Your Hermes, in your hand. github.com/Adolanium/herm…”. 1 video (0:35 long) is attached to the original tweet, with no description provided. It shows 21 replies, 18 reposts and 263 likes.

jack @j4ck.xyz · 03/10/2026

I’ve just got some random case off of Amazon. Nearly lasted me 2 years atp tbf. I’ve found a clear JETech one on Amazon for like a tenner and I trust their screen protectors so might just go for that. Changing it up a bit from my pretty standard black case

jack @j4ck.xyz · 03/10/2026

need to get a new case at some point too, current one is somewhat falling apart, but that can be my next issue..

jack @j4ck.xyz · 03/10/2026

just ordered a new screen protector since my current one has been cracked for like a month. but im changing things up, so I just ordered a matte one! curious to see how it feels & looks 👀

jack @j4ck.xyz · 03/10/2026

Yeah it has to be

jack @j4ck.xyz · 03/10/2026
