I was in such good (better) shape when I had reasonable access to DDR regularly. I miss it dearly.

It's a shame I don't care for Hero Shooters, Deadlock has some seriously good character design.

Right next to the Fleshcrawl sticker. Fuck yeah. Hilarious that that's where my eyes were drawn to first.

Finished Morning Star last night. The pacing is a lot smoother than that of Golden Son's so I took a little longer with it. Great book! I will eventually acquire the follow-up novels. For now though, this feels like a good place to stop and pick back up on the Green Creek series.

I'm thinking it's time I got a haircut.

Izzy Wolfram @izzywolfram.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

This album is definitely going to be one I talk about at the end of the year. I keep coming back to it.

Izzy Wolfram @izzywolfram.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

I haven't been posting about music as often as I think I should be. Time to fix that! I can't stop listening to the new album from Burner. It's so fucking good and incredibly relevant considering the state of the world we live in. Death metal + Hardcore. www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3HP...

Just feels like one of those days where nothing breaks your way.

Yeah I'm pretty much spoiler free at this point as well. Just gonna risk it for the biscuit.

Excited for Control Resonant, it looks incredible. Waiting for the physical release is going to be a serious challenge.

Some of my favorite games recently have been basically punching bags for video game critics and entire fanbase communities. While they're not perfect, I enjoy them greatly. Diablo 4 and Borderlands 4.

Banger for sure. The Jessie Pintado-esque riffing on 'A Lymphatic Labyrinth of Roiling Rot' makes me want to start a one man circle pit every time I hear it.

Tremolo is great and that riff you mention is absolutely awesome. I thought you were referring to string squeak. I'm not a fan when they're too pervasive. Biggest knock against the latest Glassbone EP, almost every riff has prominent string squeak. It's common in BDM because it can add intensity.

Get you a partner that talks about you the way Cris Collinsworth talks about The Chiefs.

Roy Roger's is the one fast food chain I want to see in Orlando next. Feels like we have basically everything else.

I promise you don't need to do this

I just finished Golden Son. The pacing is such that it felt nearly impossible to put down. Can't wait to start Morning Star...a lot to think about what could happen next.

Hitting the road today and heading up to Maryland for the weekend. Sunday is my Grandmother's 100th birthday and the whole family is coming together to celebrate. Will be...interesting. They all hate my Dad, but of course he's coming along.

Well I can say for certain I loved the first book! I knew it would be good basically right from chapter 1. Then, after a particular point the book became extremely challenging to put down. Finished it just yesterday.

I finished Red Rising just yesterday and I knew from chapter 1 that I'd be reading the whole series. I am also learning that there are more books after Morning Star. Gonna loop back around and read those after finishing Green Creek.

000

Well I really liked Wolfsong, funny enough it was the world building and characters that really drew me in as opposed to the romance.

Whoa. I did see those books, they any good?

I may have made the mistake of starting two book series at once this summer... Anyways my haul from the store today is: Golden Son and Morning Star by Pierce Brown Ravensong, Heartsong, and Brothersong by TJ Klune Thinking I'll get through Golden Son and Morning Star before the gay werewolves.

I'm convinced that the vast majority of these people just need to be exposed to things outside of their bubble. Many of these people have never set foot on a city sidewalk; They've just been shown it by Fox News and the like.

The more recent Ingress events appear to have their reward medals made by generative AI. Hugely disappointing. They look like shit. I haven't had a great time playing it lately and maybe this is the sign to put it down.

Izzy Wolfram @izzywolfram.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

So you're telling me that Robert Kraft, a man worth over $15 Billion, PAYS for the sex he has!? Lmao, there is nothing more pathetic on this earth than a wealthy man.

Coyote vs. Acme is, without any exaggeration, one of the funniest films I have ever seen. It's so good!

It fucking sucks that the last two Insomnium singles have clearly used AI generated images. The songs are fucking awesome, but the images are slop and detract from it. Patrick Ulleaus, the director of the music videos, is clearly just using AI as a shortcut to vomit out this crap imagery.

I cannot stress enough how fucking bad this is for everyone involved. I should be over the moon that one of my all-time favorite bands is writing music at the top of their game. Instead, I'm just fucking disappointed.

The band's official YouTube claims that no AI was used and that Patrick has over 25 years of animation experience. To me this means one of two things: 1) The band thinks we're stupid, or 2) Patrick is cashing in his years of experience to cut corners and lie about its usage. I'm banking on #2.

Both Wayfarer singles I have heard for their upcoming album are great songs, but neither of them have any trace of metal. I'm onboard if this is the direction they want to go, but I seriously doubt I'll like it as much as A Romance With Violence or American Gothic.

I would never, ever eat at a restaurant of these are the menu pictures. I'll just assume they don't know how to actually make anything on their menu.

Izzy Wolfram @izzywolfram.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Food less appealing than vomit lmao

Izzy Wolfram @izzywolfram.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Yeah I have never heard a cover that captures just how powerful the original is. I don't think it's something that can be copied or solved. They nailed it the first time.

Reminder that The Cranberries fucking rule and Zombie is one of the heaviest non-metal songs ever written.

This marks my first time ever listening to a Sigh album in full without just getting bored and moving on.

Izzy Wolfram @izzywolfram.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Notes from my first listen: I thought I was going to put the album down after the first 3 tracks. Something clicked around track 4, the emotionality started to shine through. Happy I stuck with it - Not sure it's as amazing a people are saying, but I'll give it another spin at least.

The achievement in Half-Life 2 Episode One that requires you to not shoot more than a single bullet the entire playthrough has poisoned all runs since. I can't help but avoid using any of the weapons that shoot bullets like they're anathema.

The new Chat Pile album, Who Loves the Sun, is excellent. It very well may (honestly likely) be their best yet.

If it helps you decide whether to skip or not, I'll let you know my thoughts after I give it a go.
