I really need Atinys to try their best to make sure KQ knows that there was a problem with the lighting last year during the In Your Fantasy tour. Even those of you who weren't effected by it. It is NOT NORMAL for fans to go to a concert without a medical history of seizures or photosensitivity +

(oh and this probably goes w/o saying but any lube or wd40 should be applied while your chair is tilted w/ the problem wheel side facing the ceiling so it goes down the axel instead of dripping right off lol)

110

iyr 📝🏴‍☠️ @iyrwrites.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

like a quick release wheel? bc I don’t have that exact model but a tilite with quick release wheels and sometimes in cold weather or if there’s too little lube and too much grime built up in the mechanism. bit of wd40 and gently wiggling it back on always helped mine

The oldest natural history museum in the US is being unceremoniously shut down. Even if you aren't a PA resident, please consider signing the petition to help support the cause to keep the millions of artifacts & records in its collection. Its history is invaluable!

lollll yes here most ppl will maybe one small present the night before if any ~as a treat~ and do most presents morning of, but we did a kinda hybrid thing w/ most presents on Christmas Eve and saving one big one (usually making bets abt it lol) for the morning

110

iyr 📝🏴‍☠️ @iyrwrites.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

lollll yeah we have a few other traditions like that that we only learned were German after the internet (light dinner of like sausage, cold cuts, potato salad, cheeses etc on Christmas Eve, open presents on Christmas Eve… growing up my friends were very confused by that lol)

ok i actually looked it up and apparently i was thinking of peppernuts/Pfeffernüsse! my grandma made them both in crunchy and soft varieties and didn’t know what they were called either bc her parents were forced to stop speaking German after ww1, thus my confusion lol

210

iyr 📝🏴‍☠️ @iyrwrites.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

ok actually I may be thinking of something else then if yall don’t have them there bc my grandmas family WAS German 😭 idk these things get mixed up over time but im just grateful they made it into the Christmas cookie rotation. sometimes we coated them in powdered sugar or a sugar glaze!

210

iyr 📝🏴‍☠️ @iyrwrites.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

had to look up that word and today I learned “those little spicy round cookies my grandma made at Christmas, because HER oma made them at Christmas” have a real name thank u (also I second the motion bc those are sooooo good)

not gonna quoteskeet the poor op to make this about kpop yaoi but yes like there is an embarrassing level of relief I feel, akin to being told i am NOT going to be beaten with hammers, when anyone whose fic I’ve liked interacts w/ me On Here at all let alone engages w/ a fic idea or wip etc

Also can my author friends confirm that there is such a weird relief when smart good writers specifically (not only smart good readers) say
"Hey I am enjoying your book"
To me this does not feel like validation ("You did a good job") but truly relief ("I was about to be punished, but now I am not") 1/2 4:43 PM • Sep 18, 2026

that’s fair, tho fwiw I was on stronger opioids for YEARS and never had side effects, only increased dose once - after the cdc told chronic pain pts to kick rocks and I switched to NSAIDs THOSE put me in the hospital 3x including the icu twice 😭 (once last week!) pain management is truly a coin toss
