My contribution for #SpanishJackie weekend. Oil pastel, based on the painting The Yellow Glove by James Cowie. www.nationalgalleries.org/art-and-arti...

An oil pastel painting of Spanish Jackie from Our Flag Means Death wearing her red velvet jacket. She is portrayed from the waist up, seated, with a cigar in her wooden hand and her other arm draped over the back of a chair. She looks down imperiously on the viewer.

This is a Christmas stocking I made (right side and wrong side) from this free pattern. It's a fun one because you get to mix and match in the patterned sections. lifeiscozy.com/cozy-season-...

Okay so this is the longest thing I've written by quite some distance, but I'm quite proud of it. First chapter up now, and then dropping regularly through to early May. Huge thanks to @baskinmoonglow.bsky.social for generous, thorough and helpful beta reading. archiveofourown.org/works/806375...

It's a technique called 3D decoupage using small double-sided sticky foam pads. Cut out the first layer of the whole image in thin card and attach it to the background with the pads, then attach a second layer of the elements you want to stick out further, then a third layer for the highest parts

I did these guys as part of a 2023 prompt challenge: 'mermaids'

A paper cut reproduction of David Jenkins' Our Flag Means Death Season 2 image: 2 skeletal mermaids, one holding a spear and one holding a heart dripping blood. The mermaids are holding hands and their hands form the word 'Ed'

This was the first piece of art I did for the fandom (and my first 'proper' artwork in many years) and it's still one of my favourites

A coloured pencil drawing on tan paper of two hands in a yin-yang pose. The upper hand is Ed's hand, covered with his tattoos and gently holding the red silk with a navy background. The lower hand is Stede's hand cradling the petrified orange.

My two frames: both traditional media. The close up was done at A3 scale over a couple of weeks, the wide shot was a quicker pinch-hit in A4, but I'm proud of both. Thanks so much to the organisers and everyone on the discord server for sharing their works in progress and cheering each other on x

Ed and Stede embrace on a beach with hills behind them. A small white heart is hidden in the sky. Mixed media artwork.

Stede looks at Ed as Ed looks down, cradling Stede's face in his hands. Traditional mixed media artwork.

Here's a crop of mine. Only just over an hour to go!

Turtle vs crab in mini fusible beads (my own design, feel free to use for pixel art, cross stitch etc)

A mini red crab and green turtle made of fusible beads. They are facing each other and viewed from above. Each is holding a small knife.

Thanks for these! Here’s my version of Ed in coloured pencil #ofmdctiys

A coloured version of the line art from the previous post of Ed holding fruit in the style of a Mucha print. Ed is wearing purple and the background is turquoise.

Here's my frame (watercolour, alcohol markers and pencils because I am incapable of sticking to one medium lol). I am in awe of the quality and variety of art generated for this project - it has been so much fun seeing it come together on discord.

A still from season 2 of our flag means death interpreted in watercolour. Stede's hand on the left of the image is reaching out to Ed's hand on the right. Ed is wearing the rice sack garment.

Beautiful hazy sunshine and frost in the woods earlier today

A photo of a frosty woodland landscape. There is frosty bracken in the foreground and bare trees with hazy winter sunshine behind.
