“AI” is a marketing buzzword first and a technology second, and as a buzzword, its main function is to be a magic handwave that suggests that a product is complicated and therefore, presumably, good.

Incredible email sent out to the whole listserv
Subject: [Bikecoop-announce] Please let me go

Body: I lived in Champaign 10 years ago for a year. I never went to a bike coop event, although I think it’s a great idea. I have been trying to get off this mailing list for a decade. Please let me go. I don’t own a bike and I live in Alaska.

Every time I reply to the unsubscribe link, I have a different outcome. Sometime it doesn’t say anything, but I still get your emails. Sometimes it bounces back. Sometimes it says undeliverable. Can you help?

I am a Pop-Tart conservative (no new Pop-Tarts, there are only 4 good flavors and we already know what they are) and an Oreo progressive (keep making the weirdest possible flavors of Oreos that humans can imagine)

The short story “The Library of Babel” by Jorge Luis Borges provides an opportunity to consider the veracity of AI-generated information.

Tuning into the Eras Tour livestream for the rep portion every night so I could be the first to announce in the groupchat if the bodysuit ever changed and tonight I’m vindicated I feel like I’ve predicted the rapture and have finally been right
