Iain Wilson @iwilson.bsky.social · 24/03/2026I have no idea who this man is, but there's an implication here that he's not qualified to hold office because he was a plumber and hadn't been to university. Frankly, that's outrageous and flies in the face of the ideals of democracy. Is it just rich people who can hold high office in the US? 000
Iain Wilson @iwilson.bsky.social · 07/03/2026He is paid £90k+ to do an actual job in Clacton, which he fails to do. Surely, there must be a minimum expectation in terms of hours on the ground? In no other job could you get away with what he does. 000
Iain Wilson @iwilson.bsky.social · 26/02/2026A lot of people don't understand the basics of politics and what parties stand for. Social media and the oligarch-owned papers have sold them the myth of the modern day 'folk devil', immigrants, and they can't see past it. History is lost on them and they are easily manipulated on the subject. 000
Iain Wilson @iwilson.bsky.social · 10/02/2026I must say, 'radical left scum' does have a good ring to it. 000
Iain Wilson @iwilson.bsky.social · 07/01/2026This is why there is absolutely no need for the USA to invade and take over their ally, Greenland. Want to re-open your military bases? No problem. Apply for a licence to access vital minerals? No problem. 010

Iain Wilson @iwilson.bsky.social · 15/12/2025So many of them think Europe, and even the EU, is a single country 🙄 010
Iain Wilson @iwilson.bsky.social · 12/12/2025Absolutely. He also had the jab for free under our National Health Service, and he's not even British! 020
Iain Wilson @iwilson.bsky.social · 12/12/2025Not just kids at risk of serious illness or death, it's adults too. In 1980, age 24, I had measles. I was in hospital for 3 weeks, had constant high temperatures, was delirious for 3 days, lost all the skin on my face and torso, and lost a third of my body weight. Took months to regain full health. 000
Iain Wilson @iwilson.bsky.social · 12/12/2025During Covid, Murdoch was one of the first people to get a covid jab in the UK. No irony there then....... 120
Iain Wilson @iwilson.bsky.social · 11/12/2025My daughter's went on the Erasmus scheme in 2013 and it was the absolute making of her. She came home after a year with more confidence and life skills, lifetime friends from around the world, and completely fluent in another language. This is good news. 140
Iain Wilson @iwilson.bsky.social · 08/12/2025The worldwide audience is literally measured in billions, so a few Americans not watching is no big deal. 000
Iain Wilson @iwilson.bsky.social · 08/12/2025Where it rates for Americans is of no consequence. You'd only be buying tickets to watch USA play, so you can boycott your own team. The rest of the world will come and support their teams en masse. The only thing you need to worry about is stocking up enough beer. 100
Iain Wilson @iwilson.bsky.social · 07/12/2025Absolute class, but mind you, so was Archie Gray. Tackling, winning second ball and knowing when to drop back in to defence. Atmosphere in the stadium was better than for a while. 010
Iain Wilson @iwilson.bsky.social · 07/12/2025I was at the game and thought the whole team excelled, particularly in the first half. Xavi was brilliant, as was Kudus, but Archie Gray was an absolute boss in midfield, great tackles, winning second ball and dropping back in to defence at the right time. He has a great future ahead of him. 120
Iain Wilson @iwilson.bsky.social · 07/12/2025Hardly likely. You're going to be invaded by 100s of thousands of football fans from around the world who think Trump is a cunt, but couldn't give a shit because they're going to support their national team in the biggest sporting event on the planet. 100
Iain Wilson @iwilson.bsky.social · 05/12/2025The World Cup draw is utter bollocks. Why would FIFA create a 'Peace Prize' and then give it to fucking Donald Trump? It has nothing to do with football and it's just outrageous arse-licking. Just do the bloody draw!! 030
Iain Wilson @iwilson.bsky.social · 23/11/2025"Missouri AG now Siccing ICE on Gerrymander Referendum Signature Gatherers". I have absolutely no idea what that sentence means, neither would anyone outside of the US. Indeed, I suspect quite a few Americans wouldn't have a clue either. C'mon, be a more inclusive please. Is 'Siccing' even a word? 000
Iain Wilson @iwilson.bsky.social · 11/11/2025A generation back the landlord of The Nelson in Hastings would regail his patrons with "Right, I've had yer money, you cunts, now fuck off home!" Of course, we all came back the next night for more jolly banter and wit. 010
Iain Wilson @iwilson.bsky.social · 08/11/2025Living on the coast where the air is reasonably clean, I always used to have a shower after a trip to London as you literally felt quite grubby. It is noticeably better now. Kudos to all involved in making it so. 030

Iain Wilson @iwilson.bsky.social · 30/10/2025Maybe it's just me, but it smacks of the continuing campaign to stick the boot in to women from modest backgrounds who 'do well' in politics and government like Phillips and Rayner. Now Reeves. You could tell the knives were out with the trolling, misogynistic 'Rachael from accounts'. 051
