I really want to see the recent summary judgment motion

Do you have any more upcoming? Surely there are more examples even if it’s Dems in safe blue states rather than red/purple states

Is there any articles you could do about Dems who aren’t capitulating? I know there’s still many democrats who haven’t thrown trans people under the bus. So a hopeful story about that could be appreciated.

What was the court order for? Could the trial date have been in there?

I think he may have meant October 13?? But yeah, this makes no sense! @julierei.bsky.social ???

But even if she wins, waiting until after that would still defeat the point of repose since repose is supposed to protect defendants from having to defend themselves against old claims, and if they have to do that and go to trial anyway then the damage it’s supposed to prevent is already done

I don’t know any legal experts or constitutional scholars to ask unfortunately….
000
ivysyper.bsky.social @ivysyper.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
Like if it’s not addressed until after a trial then the statue of response is pointless because it’s coming after the thing it’s supposed to prevent…
000
ivysyper.bsky.social @ivysyper.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
I’m more worried that the constitutional issue about repose may never end up be addressed, at least not until it’s too late, if it’s true that that’s not addressed until well after a trial… Is there any way to have it addressed before the trial?

ivysyper.bsky.social @ivysyper.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
Given that the NC Supreme Court has a republican majority, I’m a bit pessimistic that that would be any different, especially is they deliberately avoid tackling the constitutional question about repose like the plaintiffs were trying to do at today’s hearing…
000
ivysyper.bsky.social @ivysyper.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
Also is it true that if the claims are reinstated it would go straight to trial next and the constitutional/statute of response question would only be decided after a trial if they win? That’s what the plaintiffs lawyers said, but I don’t understand why they would wait till after a trial to do that

ivysyper.bsky.social @ivysyper.bsky.social · 29/09/2026
‪During the arguments‬, the plaintiffs lawyer said that the defendants haven’t secured any experts in their favor and don’t dispute some of their arguments about malpractice. Is that true?

Hopefully it will still be dismissed for another reason or CMP will make another similar mistake…
000
ivysyper.bsky.social @ivysyper.bsky.social · 25/09/2026
I’m a little confused now. Why is the dismissal not including the therapist “unfortunate” for her? Considering SCOTX revived the claims against the therapist, that seems like it would be good for her since it means that claim is still alive?

And still hope the hearing will get some media coverage (preferably that’s not strictly anti trans). Especially if the hearing isn’t being recorded or live-streamed…

There is a longstanding journalistic convention that newspapers generally keep opinion columns, editorials, and other commentary off the front page. Not the Boston Globe! Very on brand to put an anti-trans “Ideas” piece by David Mastio on the homepage. www.bostonglobe.com/2026/09/22/o...

Mount Sinai’s decision to put politics over the wellbeing of patients is a disgusting surrender to the Trump administration. Hospitals must stand up to these power grabs and hold the line to protect their patients.

Would you give a candidate making anti gay remarks who refused to apologize or even meet with the community a B rating?? If not, why are you giving Amy Action a B for doing it for anti trans remarks?
0160
ivysyper.bsky.social @ivysyper.bsky.social · 05/09/2026
If all it takes for a candidate to get a B rating from you is adding a section on their website claiming to support LGBT rights, while in a separately using derogatory rhetoric and refusing to meet with the community, then the rating is pointless because even the most bigoted candidate can do that

ivysyper.bsky.social @ivysyper.bsky.social · 05/09/2026
You are cowards for giving Amy Action a rating as high as B! There is no justifiable reason to give her anything higher than a “mixed record” C, but even that may be too generous. It doesn’t really matter that she added an LGBT section to her website if she’s not going to actually follow it!

I really wish you’d add the Drew Razny case to the spreadsheet. I know you think it’s a legit form of malpractice. But like all detrans lawsuits it’s still being weaponized by anti trans activists, and I hate having to rely on biased TERFs for updates since no one else is covering detrans lawsuits

ivysyper.bsky.social @ivysyper.bsky.social · 19/07/2026
I guess that would explain why there’s still no ruling yet after 6 months. But was there actual records or documents calling what happened in February a summary judgement hearing? I assume you heard that from somewhere since you originally called it that?

And yet the legislature will likely still attempt to pass a law extending/removing the statute of limitations for trans healthcare anyway next year. I hope they don’t make it retroactive, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they do

ivysyper.bsky.social @ivysyper.bsky.social · 26/06/2026
I know at least one other Texas detransitioner, Claire aka burnyourbinder has previously said she intends to sue if the statute of limitations are removed or extended, either by this lawsuit or by the legislature…

I’m no lawyer, but I really hope WPATH is able to find the grounds to file a separate suit in a more favorable court. (Like how NY hospitals were able to challenge the grand jury subpoenas outside of Texas. I know it’s not the same, but hopefully there’s a way for WPATH to do something similar…)

I have a question: How did Amanda Stewart’s case survive statute of limitations? From what I can tell, she first sought gender affirming care in 2007, detransitioned in 2016 but didn’t file a lawsuit until late 2023. How was the SoL not expired by then?

Is this actually a new “detransition center” like the one in Texas? The Advocate’s article made it seem like it’s just putting money to services they already offered but not creating a new center like Texas, but your article says it’s a new center so I’m confused www.advocate.com/health/trans...

They’re probably justifying it by saying the attacks on trans adult healthcare is no where near as harsh as the attacks on trans kids care yet

Could it be that he was so ok with the misinformation about the settlement amount since insisting she didn’t actually receive $3.5 million would be politically inconvenient and hurt his narrative? 🤔
110
ivysyper.bsky.social @ivysyper.bsky.social · 29/05/2026
The actual date the trial was supposed to occur doesn’t really matter anyway especially since it never happened. What matters more is the settlement amount since that’s a big attention grabber in an article. So to be furious about misinformation about the former but not the latter says a lot.
