i've put in the hard work to better myself in the past 6 months. my emotional regulation is more balanced than it ever has been in my life. instead of saying "someday" about the changes i want to see in my life, i can just ~make~ them. i actually have healthy pride and self-compassion now. it rocks.

the only reason that i treated pornography ~like~ an addiction (hiding, binging, guilt, etc) is because it was the only way i was ~allowed~ to interact with it as an adult, i have a much healthier relationship with pornography i like it & don't have to pretend i don't enjoy it sometimes

this is an important fact i was not damaged by seeing images of naked women & feeling desire because of that i was damaged by convincing myself that my reaction was evidence of my evil depravity i was further damaged by the guilt that lead to "addiction" behaviour the problem wasn't the porn

in boston, as we approached the state house where everyone was gathered, i saw a couple of beautiful young women being interviewed by a reporter one of them was saying, "all that i want is to be able to be with my ~wife~, with the same rights everyone else has" i was not prepared for that
