I really enjoyed the NMM class, I still need to finish painting the model, but it was really educational!

Totally, I get that. I think AI is super powerful for editing, and can help solve some big world problems. I don't think it will "kill" any media. But it is definitely important to consider how it's used and represented. My big issue is presenting AI photos as if they were taken physically.

Sean Burke @itwassean.bsky.social · 09/12/2025

I understand, my problem is less with ME seeing it, and more a larger issue with how AI is represented online. It seems you post a good amount of this stuff, so it felt like an apt conversation to have.

Sean Burke @itwassean.bsky.social · 09/12/2025

I mean... As far as AI goes I think it's pretty well done. I care less about the image itself and more about transparency and representation of AI. Having it in the #Photography area implies it was... Taken as a photo, rather than generated.

Sean Burke @itwassean.bsky.social · 09/12/2025

I appreciate it, but I don't think anyone is pissed. AI is new and we're all still trying to figure out the social norms around it. For me, presenting an AI image AS IF it could be a photograph is misleading. But to OPs credit, if you read the post, it's easy to figure out it's AI.

I am, I work as a photographer and videographer in my 9-5.

Hey, if you're posting AI things, maybe don't use the Photography hashtag? Like, I get it's a photo, but it doesn't use any of the aspects of photography to create and feels kinda icky.

I'm sorry it's stressing you out! I'd recommend some time away from playing maybe, focus on the painting and try to keep it fun This is a hobby, not a job :) But I have 100% felt this stress. It'll all be ok. I've played with bases for models before lol.

Throwback to some 🍪sweet🧁 images from over the years. Some of you only know me for mini photography but I have a long history of product photos, food photography, portraits, and nature shots. Food is a subject I haven't shot in quite a while but I think I'd like to again when I can.

A new video! This time I'm getting ready for Adepticon 2025 and waxing poetic about my last two experiences in their previous convention center. Conventions are truly special if you can get to one of ANY size and specificity, I'd recommend it: youtu.be/uNRSK4dFWWc?... #Adepticon #Miniatures

When you have friends with beautiful Icelandic sheep, 🐑 you go hang with the herd for a bit. 🐑🐑🐑🐑 While the photos came out pretty good, I will say that they were 100% mean-muggin' me the entire time lol. Not used to being photographed apparently lol 😂 #photography #icelandicsheep

Went digging through photos I took last year to see what was there. This image from Edwards Apple Orchard popped up and I think it looks exceptional in B&W. I've been photographing a lot of minis, products, and nature lately. I'd love to involve more people. Life just gets busy you know?!

I love how this guy came out! This is the Alpha Glow Hopper from Dragon Trappers Lodge and it was such a refreshing little mini to paint. It's fun to paint armies, but sometimes you just got to slap pigment on a silly little guy lol #minipainting #3dprinting #painting🎨 #dndminiatures

As someone with nearly 20 moves under his belt... Ye. It be anxiety inducing. I cried when we moved into our house. Like an anxious "what if everything is fucked" cry.

Finished this man! I haven't been painting as much lately, life is busy. I'm hoping to sit down with some models soon, I still have a goal to submit to #resinbeast by Creature Caster this year, but have a LONG way to go on that mini before it's at all ready. I hope you get some hobby time soon ❤️

I LOVE how these shots came out for Ravaged Star campaign 2. They were taken at 2 am after a full day of shooting 4 videos and I had a flight that morning at 5 am. I wouldn't change a thing. I love every adventure I get with Dave and the MWG crew, and the shots are some of my favorites in a while.
