i should clarify, when i write people doing bad things, it's because i am bad. they are me. more importantly, when you read about those bad things, they also become you. that's how story works. in fact, you are going to think about murder before this skeet ends. how's that feel, sicko.

Also for comics folks looking to migrate from tapas or indeed any dying or ai slop infested platform quickly and relatively painlessly comicfury just lets you schedule up to 100 pages per batch at custom time intervals and its scheduler tool can do literally everything youd ever want in your life

comicfury mass upload screen screenshot:

text: Mass-Upload comic pages to your webcomic
text: Select multiple files
Button: Browse...
status text: No files selected.
Prompt in field below: or drop comic images here (100 max.)

comicfury scheduling manager window

it has settings for specific weekdays, times, specific hour/day/week etc intervals [every 1,2,3, days etc] allows you to start posting on specific dates, and the set release dates button would autopopulate all your up to 100 pages per batch release times for you!! wow!! the most robust autoscheduler ive seen in my life on Any website!!

I'm pretty sure nsfw was originally going to be allowed, but iirc the owner looked into the laws for hosting that and ultimately decided it was beyond their moderation capabilities as this is a single person passion project (which is super fair)

Take it Isi! (She/Her) @itssoisi.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

The website lists Webcomic Studio as allowing NSFW, but per the owner's words: "Content that is pornographic or intended for sexual gratification is not allowed on the platform". What they allow is sexual /themes/ and non erotic nudity. vt.tiktok.com/ZSbeYfCFx/

if your response to seeing people rightfully mad about clip studio paint removing a TON of assets is to say "just use xyz art program instead lol" i'm straight up slapping you silly. if you recommend krita/procreate as an alternative for a comic/animation software i'm going to assume you are dumb

I also ask people recommending sites to host comics to disclose upfront if those platforms allow NSFW. When I was looking to host our comic, my only hard rule was being able to put prose under each page, and that I wouldn't have to censor the comic. CF was the only option I found that allowed both.

In this upcoming #webcomic exodus, I want to vouch for Comicfury some more. You can actually customize your webcomic page beyond simple page + arrows. Here's an example page of our story that's told with Art and Prose (we call it VN style but really it's just inspired by Homestuck):

4. This shit is free, both for me to make and you to read, which means I don't have to worry about meeting expectations other than my own and the Writer's, and we're both very happy with what we have so far. Their prose is strong enough to carry us both ahead for the time being.

120

Take it Isi! (She/Her) @itssoisi.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

3. I'm also counting on the milleage I'll get to eventually land me on a stable path start improving. Right now I feel the quality is going down as I sacrifice even more things to make the pacing easier on me, but I still believe the art will naturally get better with time.

120

Take it Isi! (She/Her) @itssoisi.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Nobody asked and both the Writer and my friends assure me is not an issue, but I always feel like explaining myself when I share my comic. The reason the art is Like That is because 1. I have a full-time job that I quite like and don't plan on leaving, and 2. We just want the story to be told.

I'm gonna start being more annoying about my comic. We're almost 70 pages in, about half-way done with the first chapter and with even more story to tell. If you like comedy, drama, the supernatural, and Inuit culture, you should check it out. Read Ittuatuq: ittuatuq.webcomic.ws #webcomics

everyone wants to tell artists what to do and i wish we could shift to telling audiences what to do sometimes. if you liked webcomics that were on tapas, follow somewhere else. learn to use RSS. don't let the seamlessness of apps turn your brain into soup. you can change your habits

I remember reading people's webcomic in sites they made. It was charming and cool to see so I have a whole bookmarks file and would open that every week. Maybe it wasn't perfect and reach was different, but I think the trap of modern social media is to stay there and taking the risk to lose it all.

A close-up of Piqati's face. He looks off to the side absentmindedly, tapping the end of his mechanical pencil against his circular face tunniit.

Doodle depiction of Piqati talking to Atticus excitedly. Atticus leans away slightly, shocked. The next five pages will all be in doodle style.

Piqati’s bento box in a dark, foreboding background. Small cuts of dark red, raw seal meat fill the box to the brim. Small trickles of blood spill out onto the sides of the box.

A three panel spread of Atticus running into Piqati in various locations, cartoon style. The first panel: 10 A.M., Bleachers. Piqati calls out from the top, "Hiii, hi! Atticus!" Atticus walks away glaring. The second panel: 12 P.M, Class. Piqati waves at Atticus from the doorway saying, "OMG Atticus hi!!!" Atticus looks away. The third panel: 2 P.M., Bathroom. Piqati is washing his hands at the sink in the background, "pooping hard or hardly pooping". Atticus cringes.
