Update: Microsoft postponed the retirement of the standalone Whiteboard apps — new date: 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. After that date: installed apps "display a retirement experience instead of opening." So: one more month. The free, open-source replacement isn't going anywhere:

People type some wild stuff in the Guy in a Cube comments AND there is one thing that I see often which is people think Guy in a Cube is a Microsoft owned property. I understand why that perception exists and it’s something I want to focus on in 2027 a lot more to break that narrative.

I get sucked into weird ASMR rabbit holes on YouTube watching people do landscaping and power washing on peoples homes. The worst the better the content. Imagine paying someone $200 for this service traditionally, instead it’s turned into video and makes $20k. What a business plan.
