The moment the final bell rang on Halloween night, every witch in the kingdom vanished and...

Place:
A hidden forest where the trees wear masks during October and refuse to reveal their true faces to anyone who enters.

Object:
An enchanted broom that chooses its own witch and becomes increasingly impatient whenever its chosen owner ignores their magical responsibilities.

Prose:
The village had celebrated the October festival for generations, never realizing that the masked dancers were not costumes at all.

Prose:
October brought longer shadows to the forest, and by the end of the first week, some of them had learned to walk.

Character:
A ghost hunter who discovers that the spirits are not afraid of her. They are protecting her.

Place:
The Hollow Fair, an enchanted traveling carnival that arrives without warning and grants visitors one impossible request.

Dialogue:
“Whatever you do, do not answer the door tonight.”
“Why?”
“Because the person knocking has been dead for three hundred years.”

The moon rose red above the village, and every shadow suddenly pointed toward the same forgotten house.

“You invited a ghost to dinner?”
“Technically, she invited herself.”

Object:
A black candle that cannot be extinguished until it has revealed one secret.

Character:
A witch who runs a repair shop for cursed objects and refuses to explain why every repaired item eventually finds its way back to her.

Place:
A moonlit village that appears only during October and disappears before the first day of November.

Imagery:
A crooked cottage surrounded by glowing mushrooms, black roses, silver webs, and hundreds of tiny lanterns hanging from bare branches.

Title:
The Witching Hour

Story:
A young mage inherits an old farmhouse and discovers that every October, the house grows an extra room containing something from its previous owners.

Idea:
