I think a lot about the possibility of Moxxie blaming himself for his mother’s death. He can piece enough together to know that she disappeared shortly after she started disapproving of how Crimson was raising him. He tells himself that if it wasn’t for him she’d still be alive.

I mean I don’t think it’s off the table! ‘Best friend’ is kind of a loosely-defined, fluid status. People can have more than one best friend, esp. in the context of a found family. I personally think (hope?) that we’ll see a lot of different pairings in S3+S4 There’s clearly a bond here!
