...and planting her shit everywhere

danfango @itsdanfango.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Maintaining the weather during an everlasting spring isn't really a full-time job. You might call is seasonal, if there were more seasons than just "rain" and "shine." So Stoplight spends her free time making sure everyone gets where they're going safely

When Stoplight Flicker was very young, she dreamed about another world. Upright ponies walked on stone islands divided by an endless stampede of raging bulls, guided by blinding lights and strange shapes.

Desdemona isn't a true unicorn but no one knows what a true unicorn even is. They're probably all dead anyway. You don't have to be a true unicorn to do magic; common unicorns like Desdemona do it just fine. It's just points in space connected by dreams or something

Desdemona (tries) teaching Nannyberry magic. Nannyberry is not a unicorn and she has no special talent. Her horn is a birth defect that no one understands or cares about. She is not ponyfied Luanne from King of the Hill

haven't seen anyone else notice this but it looks like they're dumbing down/overcorrecting some of the more notorious pain points in the ocarina remake, like that devilish small key in the first room of this temple

I can see why people would call all of this bad writing and it is definitely a bit of a clusterfuck but somehow it adds up to one of the most interesting characters Ive seen on a show for babies, because of and in spite of executive meddling and all kinds of other weird shit

i like change though. as ugly as the castle is, there are things i actually like about it. it being huge and empty is really funny, the way they kinda wander around it aimlessly getting lost. this scene where they make cupcakes feels like playing with toys; mixing and matching old ones and new ones

obviously you're going to associate prominent locations & characters in a show with the show itself, so when they're phased out or dramatically ripped away, (and something or someone is put in its place) it's hard not to feel a certain way about it. especially if the show goes on for another 5 years

a few people have picked up on themes of identity by way of the characters constantly, stupidly announcing their own names or changing their identity to suit whatever a scene needs, but one of the first ideas I had was actually relating the identities of the shows themselves and how they change

some people have picked up on the video having some kind of overarching narrative/themes. this is true and the main reason I was able to make it so god damned long. You'll have to watch it all the way through many more times to get all of it, though

i hope everyone liked the video. now i can post unique minute-long clips from it every day on here for the next 2 months while i work on the cartoon i was suppose to be making over the last 2 months

now learning she reprised her role in the 3d animated not-sequel by the same people a few years later. again with an A-list cast and an eerily similar title sequence. the director doesnt have a wikipedia page

kathleen barr voiced rudolph in the fuckass 1998 rudolph movie and the only reason i didn't know that already is that apparently voicing the main character is not enough to get your name in the opening credits

like sorry but its just not remotely comparable. the spirit of the joke is hobbyists fucking around with extremely powerful tools and getting poor results because they don't know fundamentals, not just sliding the art style towards realism.

Nannyberry is 35 years old and has no special talent. Her parents are earth ponies and her horn is actually a birth defect. she is not ponyfied Luanne Platter
