Coogler and Ludwig and a Nolan collab got me hyped cubed, the supernatural stuff is just the icing on top!

Marvel. It’s easier to write stakes and grounded stories when your characters aren’t all overpowered in some way. Also better power scaling when the starting isn’t “faster than light”

Put me near infrastructure and and the stores where I buy necessities. Semi-rural with < 1 hour from a metro area feels ideal.

Ancient Chinese history in general is wild - Taiping Rebellion, how Chen Sheng founded the Han Dynasty, having multiple ww2 level events, Metropolitan cities were flooded out several times and people just returned and settled again creating a city on top of a city.

Agreed, the only answer in line with human rights, is to secure everyone’s ability to survive given none of us were asked to be here. The least someone working a job where they’re likely consistently disrespected, is to be able to go home (being exhausted) and not struggle with surviving.

Hypothetically speaking, we’ve seen too much evidence of the failures of vertical power structures. And so, “world leaders” shouldn’t even exist. That aside, yes they should be elected by the popular vote in a ranked choice voting system and not the first past the post voting system America has.

POV: it’s 2048, we’re about to go onto 25 years straight of Republican administration. The next round of legislation comes out now - “effective today, Jackie Chan’s parts in Rush Hour are to be replaced with Awkwafina”. 😔

Who y’all got in a 1 v. 1 - John Wick or Jason Bourne? They first have to find each other from across the world; Wick gets the help of that shadowy organization and Bourne gets the help of the CIA.

Tinker. Much of our modern tech is simplistic (phones with built in batteries, chromebooks/Macs that feel immutable); everything is now one swipe or tap away. Older tech was much more modular and customizable, so we learned to take things apart and mess with settings.

Niggas In Paris and H.A.M (invented a new slang that lasted almost a decade), that album was a moment

Why? Did you just want to walk around bad people obliviously? Do you want to be a part of a community without doing the work to cultivate a healthy one or having discernment? Some are finding out their community might be the “bad guys”. Either way, I like the transparency this “realization” brings

Right. There are valid critiques of Beyoncé - is she tied to sweatshops in South Asia? Yes. Does she not spend enough money on philanthropy? Yes. Does she commodify Black culture and profit off of contemporary politics while silent? Yes. Are many of her fans toxic and parasocial? Yes.

I have a very long list of shows that are amazing and some not very mainstream, but I’ll just give a couple off the top of my head: Kingdom, Dark, Tales From the Loop, and Umbrella Academy

I hope this isn’t controversial but Black Panther 1. By painting Kill Monger (who had unaddressed racial trauma, lost his dad to the Hamlet/Lion King trope, and displaced, and wants acceptance from his community - Wakandans) as the villain, it undermines the themes of sovereignty and decolonization.

Oh this is a hard one because it needs to have either magic or Clark Tech but also be relatively safe, which is a tall order. I’ll go with Inception because there’s so much potential for dream parties, dream gaming, etc.

Interstellar, The Martian, Disney’s Atlantis and Treasure Island, Coco, Megamind, Scary Movie (1-3), IT (the remake and it’s sequel), Black Panther 1 & 2, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, all three Guardians of the Galaxy, and so much more (or maybe I just love watching movies😭)

Remember: things that happen TO us, either in the past or right now, do not create or reflect our worth. Sh*t things happen to good people; lucky things happen to sh*t people. Don't get tricked into thinking what happens TO us, is about us. That's a trauma conditioning trap.

Imagine your knee-jerk reaction being to immediately side with accused people. If to catch 88 people, 12 people are inconvenienced (and will live on), from the numbers alone, it’s worth it.

The traditional gender roles in both marriage and parenting as well as the culture and institutions created around them wasn't created with women's pleasure or happiness in mind *at all* and we need to be clear on that.
