This is so true. If a system doesn't allow you to live because shareholders matter more than people who live in your country then you're not living under a democracy. Oligarchy and democracy are contradictions of each other. Musk is never going to feel the rising egg prices or milk being expensive.

This is the reason abolishing the death penalty is the good thing to do. It's always used to scare people into subservience as a political tool. It's an instrument of revenge, not punishment. It's what the oligarchs want against you.

Very few school shooters have gotten the death penalty. Yet the U.S. is trying to charge Luigi Mangione so he gets the death penalty for killing one man. You can kill dozens of kids and get a lesser sentence, because their lives don't matter as much as a CEO's. That's America.
