on holiday a decade ago, while we were sitting in for an afternoon, I was stuck listening to the friend group's music choices (electro swing covers of pop music) as they were reading serious-feminist era Sinfest comics They would absolutely be the target market for these games, unfortunately

the offending letter: I mean if I got a letter like this I’d be devastated (at 12), but I’d be honoured that people were paying attention to the magazine’s content But hey, STC made good on their word by printing her letter! :v (letter flame wars in magazines were FREQUENT back then too, kids)

Also, I censored the address. Let’s not hunt down a person who was probably 11 when they wrote this okay okay okay

Contents:

‘HAYLEY'S COMBAT’
‘Dear Megadroid,
‘I would like to know the
answer to two things please...
‘(1) When is the Sega Channel coming to the West Midlands in the Dudley and Wolverhampton areas?
‘(2) Also, how come Lynne Triplett has had her name in the comic twice (once in STC 84 and again in STC 110), when I can't even get a letter or drawing published once?’
Hayley
Enamel Badge Prize Winner.
‘(1) Unfortunately, Hayley, Sega say they have no plans for the Sega Channel to operate
in the West Midlands. It seems to be just in England's North West and North East.
‘(2) Oh yes you can!’

Fire Of Life, page 24 by Leeann Hamilton 2026 The end! #webcomic #🎨sketch

A MESSAGE TO 10,000 YEARS IN THE PAST.

THIS PLACE WILL BE A MESSAGE, AND WILL BE PART OF A SYSTEM OF MESSAGES. BE FOREWARNED.

SENDING THIS MESSAGE WILL BE IMPORTANT. OUR CULTURE WILL BE DEFINED BY OUR POWER AND OUR HUBRIS.

THIS WILL NEVER BE A PLACE OF HONOUR.
NO DEED WILL BE COMMEMORATED HERE.
NOTHING WILL BE VALUED HERE.

THE DANGER WILL INCREASE, AND WILL PRESENT ITSELF AS AN ENERGY THAT KILLS AND EMANATES.
...
THE DANGER IS UNLEASHED IF YOU DISTURB THIS PLACE PHYSICALLY.
SHUN AND NEVER INHABIT THIS PLACE.

- TINE BEATHA-
