Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 16/04/2025Just an FYI - the cuts in disability won't be implemented until 2026/7. This must be either a mistake or someone in the DWP has specifically targeted her award. I agree that CAB is your best bet. Best of luck. 160
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 31/01/2025Those most likely to need Fox News decoded are the least likely to believe the decoded version. If the Baby Jeebus himself sat on their porch and told them personally that Fox News lies, they'd run him out of town on a rail. 'Y'all ain't my lord and saviour, you're a goddamn commie liberal!'. 😉 000
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 30/01/2025I dunno, next you'll be telling me that not only is there an Aberdeen in Scotland, there's one in Australia, one in the USA and another in Canada. 😉 000
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 26/01/2025His tweet reads like an abdication of responsibility. 'It's in God's hands' kinda shtick. America is smoldering and he's sitting on his hands. Maybe he'll leap into action when the flames are licking his feet... 0100
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 26/01/2025Folk who have 'made it' seem to enjoy punching down. It's a national sport. 010

Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 17/01/2025File it under, 'Seen to be doing something'. I think there will be quite a few circumstances where the headline is more important than the effect. At least in the first weeks and months of this new administration. 000
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 17/01/2025It's cold, grey and quite miserable out there. This is a reminder of warm and sunny days to come. Photographed using the Carl Zeiss Jena Pancolar 50mm f1.8 in Elder Park, Govan. 030

Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 16/01/2025You're very welcome. Borders/Central Belt/North East rural will mean you'll receive deliveries of groceries, Amazon, etc without hassle. North West and far North rural will mean very few, if any deliveries at all. Just something to keep in mind. 😊 000
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 16/01/2025If I can give some advice? Don't relocate to Edinburgh unless it's for work. The cost of living, rent, etc is sky high. It's a tourist trap. 😊 Mind you, if you're in London, you won't be surprised by the prices. 😉 Thanks for the FB. 100

Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 11/01/2025Aye, it's been a bit Baltic this past week. The past 3 days alone have been -6c, -8c and last night, -7c. Brrr. 011
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 11/01/2025There's some very tentative snow in Govan. I don't think it's quite made up its mind. ❄️🤔 110
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 10/01/2025Maybe this isn't an original thought but would it be fair to say there's no more 'Left' or 'Right'? It seems to me that it's the political class and the voter. They speak with forked tongue and we play our part in the game by continually voting for more bullshit. Are they to blame or are we? 010
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 07/01/2025I've just finished watching your reaction. Thoroughly enjoyable. Looking forward to more. 😊 000
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 07/01/2025As an ex-SNP member trying to conduct a respectful dialogue with some of those that are left is near impossible. They go straight to abuse then block as if they occupy some moral high ground. Beware hubris, simply because your party is flying high today. A single election can change everything. 010
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 07/01/2025I didn't share any graphs - I replied to someone who did. Disagreeing with policy isn't bigotry. You keep on insulting me for no good reason simply because as an ex-SNP member I now support a different party than you. It says ALBA in my mini-bio. You need to take a deep breath and sort yourself out. 000
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 07/01/2025That's pure deflection. You've already made the accusation now back it up. Show me where I've taken a bigoted position. Disagreeing with policy isn't bigotry. 100
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 07/01/2025It grinds my gears that around a million 2nd votes were chucked away at the last Scottish election. For a gain of 2 list seats. It doesn't make any sense. 110
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 07/01/2025Which bigotry would that be, Lesley? Bigotry: the fact of having and expressing strong, unreasonable beliefs and disliking other people who have different beliefs or a different way of life. Could you point it out? 100
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 07/01/2025Even if Alba hit just 30% of that target, that's 6 less unionists and 6 more Indy supporting MSP's. 20%? 4 less unionists. We've seen what happens when we give free rein to one party in Scotland. They veer off into supporting divisive pet projects, while sidelining their central purpose. 140
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 07/01/2025Syd, there are too many feelings involved in Scottish politics and not enough facts. I had voted for the SNP since 1983 and was also a member just not as long. When they didn't do what they promised multiple times, post 2014 - pursue independence as a priority - I had to find another vehicle. 220
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 31/12/2024As most Alba members are and clearly stated in my mini-bio. 😊 000
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 30/12/2024As I’ve said, over and over, I have no idea. My sleuthing skills are at the level of Inspector Clouseau. As for the Scottish Police I have long thought that there’s something rotten in the State of Denmark. 120
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 30/12/2024I agree that it doesn’t look good for the justice system. It reeks of incompetence or political interference at some level. As a mere voter I can only hope that it all comes out in the wash although it rarely does in Scotland. 000
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 30/12/2024When all's said and done, the truth will be told and the liars (whoever they may be) will be exposed. As I said below, if enough evidence is found, they'll both have their day in court. Until the conclusion of the investigation and possible trial, I can't guess who's guilty or not guilty. 😊 210
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 30/12/2024Aye, for sure. I have no idea what happened to the money. I'm waiting to see the outcome of the investigation and find out what evidence (or lack thereof) the police base their conclusions on. If it comes to that, Sturgeon and Murrell will have their day in court - just as Salmond did. 😊 110
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 30/12/2024That photo is from 2017. Alex met him when Clerkin (along with many others) was protesting against cuts to the public sector. As for the validity of Branchform, if there was nothing to see the investigation would have wound up pretty quickly. No? I say this as an ex-SNP member. 320
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 30/12/2024For the past year Photobucket has been telling me it's urgent that I log into my account to retrieve my photos. I last used the service back in the early noughties for storing memes so I could embed them in the likes of Yahoo Chat. They can have my old memes. 🤣 120
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 30/12/2024I agree with that objective 100%. We need to be holding our elected politicians to account. Keep them on the straight and narrow while focusing on the prize of an independent Scotland free from Westminster. 😊 030
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 30/12/2024Just for clarity, Sean Clerkin isn't a member of Alba. He was the person who complained to Police Scotland about the missing money. Police Scotland then began the 'Operation Branchform' investigation. “Facts are chiels that winna ding, and downa be disputed”. 150
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 30/12/2024Probably for the same reason no Brexiteer wants to talk about Brexit. They realise they made a huge mistake but won't admit it. Even to themselves. Better (for them) to ignore the consequences and pretend it was a huge success. 010

Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 12/12/2024Does anyone else remember the ice rink at the St Enoch Centre during the early 90's? It was often more lake than rink but it was great (if wet) fun. It was approximately where the food hall is now. 010
Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 10/12/20242 weeks until Christmas. I'll have no cards, no tree, no presents, no Christmas dinner, no particular Christmas cheer. Ivory Cutlery @itchybiscuit.bsky.social · 10/12/2024Aye, minus 5 here in Govan last night and looking similar for tonight. As I mentioned earlier, it was a 2 duvet, hot water bottle kinda night. At 62, I'm starting to feel it when the temperature drops. 040
