The wizard is home after his own little holiday at my nans. He made best friends with the elderly border terriers and has spent most of the last 10 days making nests in my nans felting fleece He seems happy to be home though, and ran straight upstairs to go flop on our bed

We've had no help with this yet and desperately need it. I wanna make it clear that yes, we are on holiday, but it was a gift, and not something we paid for. Us being on holiday doesnt negate our need of help to pay the emergency vets bill

All medical clinics in Cyprus keep the anti-venom on site and theres only been one fatal bite in the last 20 years on the island, and I'd rather take a bite myself than risk it or the puppies getting hurt

Theoretically yes, but I've never actually had to handle a venomous snake. I've owned and been around snakes most of my life, so more experience than the other two combined. It's far from ideal though.

Apparently I am now on snake watch and wrangling duty after a blunt-nosed viper was spotted in the garden yesterday, making our host, and the other half completely freaked the fuck out. I'm gutted that it had slithered off by the time I got to the garden. Is it weird I want it to come back?

A 5 min consultation for a tiny infected scratch on his eyelid. £186 and a course of antibiotics later, and now I'm waiting for a cab home with a rat that is very unimpressed with having been taken to the vets at 2am. Holiday money now gone. At least the beach is free?

Merry is so pissed at me for taking him to the vet, that this usually very quiet, non vocal rat, is shouting at me from his carrier with some very grumpy squeeks. Even when curled up in my hood, he was still being grumpy and making his feelings very well know to both me and the vet.

A trip to the emergency vets with one of the hobbitses was not what i wanted to be doing at 2am. Merry and Pippin had a scrap a few days ago, which is now landing me with a £156 emergency vet consultation fee, which we can not afford, as well as the costs of any medication he may need Gaaaah
