I pushed a new update for Fresh Powder. You can now view the daily leaderboard, race down a slope with friends. Along with a complete redesign of the UI and some other cosmetics. Play it in your browser: play.issam.site/fresh-powder

I rebuilt the water ring toss toy for your phone Hold a button and bubbles lift the rings. Tilt the phone and the water tips. Land them on the swords. For now it works best on phones with Gyro. Ringtide: 5 worlds, 60 levels, no ads, works offline. Made in Godot. play.google.com/store/apps/d...

Every mountain in Fresh Powder now opens as a 3D map of its valley: the peaks, forests, lifts, pistes and villages, about 10 km across. Turn it, zoom in, and ride from there. Jackson Hole, the Upper Engadine, Kitzbühel. #gamedev #indiedev #godot

I made a sledding game where the snow remembers. Every run packs the snow down a little. There's one new hill a day for everyone, so by evening the best lines have turned into fast lanes. In my tests, the same rider was 4.2 s faster in the evening. play.issam.site/fresh-powder #gamedev #indiedev

#ScreenshotSaturday: my sledding game's X-ray view. The snow in my game is divided into a grid of half-metre squares. Every sled that runs through it packs the squares it touches. Nobody drew these lanes, Riders will make them. You can test it on my site play.issam.site/fresh-powder #gamedev #godot

A low-poly sled rides down a packed lane through fresh powder at dusk, with pine trees and pink mountains behind.

The same moment in the game's X-ray view: a dark grid where packed snow glows orange and purple, showing the lanes riders made.

A sled following a curving packed trail through fresh snow, with pines on the right.

The same trail in X-ray: the packed line glows bright orange through the grid, fading to purple where fewer riders passed.
