After 1750 km driving the Q4 this week, then my IONIQ 6 I have thoughts. - As far as driving dynamics and how the car feels the HI6 just feels correct to me. More direct and responsive. - ACC and surround view camera on my HI6 are a blessing. - HI6 efficiency is stellar.

First hiccup in trip so far, only one of two of the hotel's chargers is functioning and the one that's working is already being used. I have 100 km of range left to find somewhere to fast charge tomorrow though.

Interestingly, the Polestar 4 is pretty much the same size as the IONIQ 6 in most dimensions, but is slightly less long. Also notably the IONIQ 6 is wider with mirrors unfolded, but the Polestar 4 is wider with them folded. Perhaps that explains why it feels very sedan like for me.

Some updates from me, the car went to Montréal this weekend and didn't even need a charge to get back, but we still did some street charging for the convenience of it! Original 12 V was having issues recently so I replaced it with an AGM 12 V yesterday. AC has remained working too!

I think I might be needing a 12 V battery soon! Had a dead battery issue today but once boosted had no problems so I doubt it's ICCU. The car is over 3 years old now so it is probably time for a new 12 V anyway.

I decided to take the LRT for fun today and one of my trains on the east west line encountered technical issues. First time using the LRT and I encounter an issue. Wow! This city is certainly a place.

IONIQ 6 N in GT7 at CGV. Disappointingly the car is much slower than the IONIQ 5 N is... 5 seconds around this track with both being stock, running the same tires and not using overtake boost

Call me a luddite but this whole "Software Defined Vehicles" is just... not my speed. Hyundai seems to be going that way which has me concerned that the cars are going to become rather dull.

Note that this does not just mention a single solution, but multiple solutions coming together. We can adopt EVs AND retire old vehicles AND improve public transit AND work towards improving cities' walkability. These things do not have to be mutually exclusive! 😊

Still thinking about how I powered a national level sporting event this past weekend with just my IONIQ 6 and a Bluetti AC200Max. Had some people afterwards thinking they could maybe do the same at other archery tournaments to avoid using gas generators.

Where do the people that post "Why are we buying Chinese products" comments think the device they are posting from was made? Chances are if it wasn't assembled there, the components probably were anyway. Why are electric powered cars special? (Since Chinese made ICEVs are already in NA).
