Do you ever wonder about where your own limit is? Like, how much BS are you willing and able to tolerate before you just throw your hands up and say "fuck it," and drop everything to start a new life somewhere? This isn't to say I'm at or near that point myself, or anything. But it's kind of an unsettling thing to think about. I'm grateful to never have had to actually find out where my limit is, but I know that's a privilege of my background, identity, and upbringing.

To be more on-topic, I'm grateful to have my dog, Shimmer, in my life. I wish I could do more for her than I have but circumstances in my life over recent past have been really keeping my mental health at a low simmer and it's hard to force my unmotivated self to do the things that aren't explicitly necessary to sustaining and maintaining my life and lifestyle. Even doing homework for my college classes takes a lot out of me despite knowing it'll be better for it on the other side.

I just try and focus on WHY I'm pushing forward. All I want is a place of my own where I can simply exist as myself and not be pressured by perceived obligations to be someone/something else. And a yard for Shimmer would be nice, too. Shit's expensive, y'all, and it ain't getting any cheaper any time soon.
