Earlier I realized I forgot to put my Spidey t-shirt in the laundry, so I just grabbed one of my other Marvel shirts. And ironically it has someone on it I didn't know going in was going to be in it. (trying to be cryptic for you guys)

Y'all may know I'm a sucker for fanfics that have Bucky as the grumpy uncle for little Peter. Well, Uncle Frank was freakin' hilarious. The special effects were more or less good. A few moments with one of the Hulk scenes that was a bit janky. Don't want to give more away but iykyk.

I did find myself looking up one of the bad guys cuz I couldn't place him. I also found myself quirking my eyebrow at where we go for the Dept of Damage Control? I do genuinely worry about one the fate of one of the heroes (& lack of seeing them in IMDB's cast listing for Doomsday, not helping).

Here's my take on SM:BND. You won't need as many Kleenex as you did for No Way Home. There was a few "in the feels" moments. Some parts made me really laugh. Enough call-backs to high school Peter to make me happy. And enough holes filled and threads left hanging for a MCU outing.

Seeing the news use phrases like almost 1000 days or more than 1000 days since the last budget bill made me think about Anne of a Thousand Days. And I am wondering, will we have a budget by September 9th?

So many problems w/getting them to pay our therapists. Who don't take Aetna (thus SHP right now) bc they suck so bad at reimbursement. If our household is feeling this pinched, I feel really bad for state employees with 2 kids earning the average salary. How are we not in a full blown Depression?

010

Amy @isabetta.bsky.social · 20/05/2026

(Per Gemini, it spat out the cost of living has increased by approx 9.5% to 10.5%. Food costs have increased by 5% to 6%. The b real kicker, the premium for our health insurance is a 42.37% increase. And Aetna is being...Aetna. I'll take that 3%, god knows I'll take anything at this point.

And well..."Ardis Watkins, exec dir of the States Employees Association of NC, said that the majority of state employees, the proposed raises are not sufficient as they do not keep up with the cost of living or account for rising health premiums or the lack of a raise last year."

Per the DTH: "NC House & Senate leaders...have come to an agreement." It includes a 3% "average" raise for state employees (& a $1750 bonus for employees under $65k/yr and $1k for over $65k). Also "none of these raises will be retroactive & would take effect when the budget it passed."

My take for Dr. Galena Molchalina is Annet Mahendru. She played Nina in The Americans. She's half Russian and has a kind but sad face and is able to pull off both empathetic and steely. She's only 40 but still older than Connor.

@heatedpod.bsky.social just finished listening to your new drop and 2 things: Ryan's overdose could be played as being another way Ilya spirals down. If Ryan is someone he gets super close to and then sees him die, it could be a final straw.

Ran across a still from Sebastian Stan's forthcoming movie, Fjord, and man, that makeup job. Holy Cow. He looks like Alton Brown. No release date yet, but it's in post-production. Anyway, I still need to finish (after tracking down where they're streaming) some of his early works.

Watching a documentary on the 1980s US hockey team. Got me pondering what is a better "high" for a hockey player: winning a gold medal or winning the Stanley Cup?

You know, I'm past not minding if Europeans boycott US goods, I actively want you guys to boycott TF out of everything American. Economically Isolate the 💩 out of us. I'm certain we need to hit below rock bottom to fix this. The MAGA sheeplemind has a chokehold. Help a American Woman out here.

I'm mocking up a plan for an office project for over winter break. BF I get too deep into this, checking with ppl from/used to live in/just more aware of Queens, Manhattan & Brooklyn to make sure I don't have something really dumb going on (like the Empire State Bldg shorter than the Flatiron).

If all I eat is deviled eggs, sure. But if we're at any type of Southern Gathering, my plate is apt to have: Potato Salad, Sausage Balls, Spinach Artichoke Dip, Bean Dip, Bacon-Wrapped Dates, some of the Cheese Ball, tiny Pimento Cheese sandwiches, Pinwheels, Cheese Straws, Chicken Salad tarts...

Y'all's at the Cradle in Chapel Hill (10ish years ago) is one of my top five all-time favorite concerts ever. Up there with seeing Billy Joel at LJVM, Moby at The Ritz on Halloween, The Decemberists at Red Hat, and my 1st ever Jimmy Buffett concert down at the Pavilion (sister's a parrothead)

Three eggs per person. Not everyone will like deviled eggs, but for each one that dislikes them, there's a @riabi.bsky.social who will eat a dozen. OR because I'm married to a deviled egg lover, my calculations might be off.

Got in the mood to re-watch the Multi-verse Saga and have watched WandaVision & am on the last episode of FatWS. Good Lawd, the Sam raining montage. Also, I don't care what "canon" is, I really think that boat repair scene belongs in a RomCom. SMOLDERING looks from both! BUCKYBUCKYBUCKY! 👽🤖🧙‍♂️ 🦾❤️💪🏿
