Isabel Ashdown @isabelashdown.com · 06/01/2026It’s ages since I posted a dog pic, since losing Charlie and Len in 2025 - but this is a new year, and this is my grandpup Olive! A beautiful little long haired mini dachshund gal. We all love her 🥰 #dogs 0100

Isabel Ashdown @isabelashdown.com · 20/12/2024Pals, I have sad news. This week our beautiful Len took suddenly ill, and yesterday we said goodbye to him at home with all the family around. He has been the softest, most daft and devoted dog, loved by many. We’re heartbroken and will miss him so much ❤️ 10200

Isabel Ashdown @isabelashdown.com · 28/11/2024I coached a fiction writing student recently who expressed fear that family members might recognise passages inspired by real life. My advice: WRITE AS THOUGH NO-ONE’S READING. Stay true to your story & its authenticity will shine through. You can always make any necessary cuts later. #WritingTips 1140

Isabel Ashdown @isabelashdown.com · 25/11/2024I know lots of writers (me included) are struggling with positivity and motivation at the moment. So I thought I’d share a pic of serious Len to brighten your day, along with the reminder I give myself from time to time: this feeling will pass. 11663
Isabel Ashdown @isabelashdown.com · 22/11/2024Fun fact: for 5 years dachshund Len was a Pets as Therapy dog, and together we’d visit a local primary school to listen to children read. At the end of each session, he’d offer a paw to his reader and they’d reward him with a treat 🥰 As you can see from the photo, he took his work very seriously. 1342
