(10/15) So, let's talk about the apps. Once again, the G1s nail this and the Meta's fumble it 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥. Even Realities app is fast, and promotes all the glasses function to the front. Meta's app is kinda trash, and promotes non-dismissable tutorial content on the homepage instead of actual features.

I'd love to see Threads and Bluesky adopt a “Made using” label, similar to Mastodon’s. It was a neat feature when Twitter had it years ago, but now that genAI can publish infinite garbage, we need to know to know where posts are coming from.

Observation: Threads and Bluesky are very different in terms of engagement, as made clear (imo) by the engagement with the brand accounts. It seems that, even if Threads has more users, it's much worse at organising people around central topics.

Today's work on Filedrop 2 has been building out the upload flow, which you can see here. A big improvement that this version has over the previous is that it actually uploads files in parallel 😅, allowing for much faster upload times on large drops. #BuildInPublic

(4/4) Also coming is the ability to mark threads as published, without needing to publish them to a linked account. This is super handy if you’ve been using Threaditor since before it supported automatic publishing, or if you publish manually outside of Threaditor.

(3/4) You can also automatically archive threads that haven’t been modified in a while by setting up “Thread archiving” in Settings > General 😎 This will run once a day, and keep your homepage neat and tidy for you 😌

Coming to Threaditor 9: the ability to archive threads 😃 This is a bit of a niche one, but one thing I’ve wanted to do for a while is be able to clear out my homepage of all my old threads. Now, you can archive your threads, and they’ll only appear in the “Archived” tab on the homepage. (1/4)

(2/5) I really don’t like how it has its own custom pop-ups for file uploading and text selection. I liked it at first, but it started to really annoy me, especially when it was bugging out and putting the tooltips in weird spots or behind overlays 😐

Alright so I’ve been using Opera One for a few days now, and I have to say I’m moving on 😅 I’ll go through a few of my reasons why: (1/5) This annoys me way more than I should, but the way it rounds corners on rectangles actually upsets me a lot. See the attached images about what I mean.

I've been on a bit of a quest to 3D print some wireless/MagSafe phone & watch chargers for my partner and I. These are custom-designed, with one relying on MagSafe to suspend the phone, and the other built for more traditional wireless chargers and using a shelf to hold the phone.

This is most often caused because you're writing for each account individually, but not the group containing both accounts. Threaditor 8 changed how publishing works, so that content for accounts and groups stay separate. See the attached video for what I mean. Let me know if that makes sense 😀
