oh yeah I went to Redwood National Park and how can words describe the journey I had? being among the trees feels like home

A trail winds lazily away from the viewer between trees coated in a layer of green moss — soft and damp to the touch. Sunlight falls across the trail in bright streaks and highlights, brightening up the dark undercanopy.

A hilltop view looking down into the valley of hills densely carpeted with coastal redwood trees. The trees in the foreground catch the setting sun's last golden light, while a river along the valley floor in the midground winds its way through the darker trees surrounding it. The horizon is soft and gauzy yellow-blue above it all.

An enormous fallen redwood lays across the frame, several decades into its long journey of decay. Dense emerald ferns pack in close all around the deadwood, with towering live redwoods in the background watching over their long-fallen companion.

The bright sun is nearly center to the frame, but the light is streaky and dappled from passing through multiple layers of the redwoods' canopy. The trees still tower high while the morning dew steams off them in areas where the sun's rays pierce the gloom and provide warmth. Shades of green from light to dark abound.

Oh my god say no more - POST MOUNTAINS
