I see some of y'all sinking back into Runescape and Everquest and WoW. And those weren't my first MMO. So here I go. Back to Vana'diel.

Another heatwave incoming. In October. Just thrilled for this experience. Can’t do much in the studio when it heats up this high

Without laying it all out I knew this would expand as I started working on it. I dislike how many hats I have to wear to do this. But it's getting done, even if I look stupid in some of the hats or just frankly don't know how to wear them. More soon.

Also set up the flex wall last week to photograph everything I still have. I think I've got about 80-90 things to add to my site overall, with about 60 paintings that will go up for sale very soon. A huge mix of abstracts and referential work going all the way back to 2001.

Completed one of those chores that I've been dreading for like... two years: I cleaned my desktop and properly archived folders for all of the paintings in progress/finished since late 2024-early 2025 when I basically stopped updating my shop.

Yeah, but it’s a dry grief.

Starting a project, realizing ways to improve it every hour or so, refining it all the while, and then at the end of the second day, feeling so overwhelmed that you just want to stop is such an ADHD experience Anyway I'm re-photographing and cataloguing my paintings

That's why preservation and ownership are crucial when it comes to things like this. With the whiplash of chasing the highest possible profits, they lost sight of the core pillars that make their art even have the chance to be sustained

When I was like 14, my dad's band played a cover of this song. It's great. It's about hitting someone that you're mad at with a brick. Simple, but effective.

I would like Destiny 2 to stay online forever. But, in a reductive sense, a week in, reading a lot of posts... it feels like so many just want things to go back to the way they were. And, well, to be blunt: fuck that. www.irrezolut.com/log/beforeaf...

And just like that, I'm dreaming again. Something like 15+ years ago, they just stopped. Dried up. Maybe I got a bad brain. Maybe my sleeps are broken. But I haven't had two dreams in a row in at least a decade and a half, and now I'm on day three.

Some detail shots of the sides of the canvas. I always let the sides become uniquely decorated, but this time I intentionally played with some extra color and texture to compliment the painting as a whole.

Thrilled to report that my replacement A6400 won't seem to stay connected to my PC when I shoot photos remotely. It's so cool how this used eBay one has this problem when my old, non-stolen-by-UPS camera worked just fine. What a fun development

Up at 6 this morning to receive building materials for this 8x8' (almost 3m^2) wall for working on/photographing art. 12 hours later I'm worn out, it's almost complete, and I'm gonna take a nice shower and then sit in a comfy chair to play elden ring until I pass out : )

If I die destitute without ever selling a painting again in my whole life at least I will go to my grave knowing I had more moral fiber and artistic integrity than the guy who burned 100 grand of his own money on a statue of Charlie Kirk that no one wants

Not specifically related to tabling/selling but I want you to know that a while back I used your matchbook cat post as a prompt in a painting class and later I donated the original to the college I was teaching at when I moved away So that made a lot of people happy on different levels : )
