Whatever you celebrate this week... even if it's just the end of the season and the year... I hope it's the most festive you can get!

1st Sunday since latest heart attack/infections to go for Sunday #breakfast at #EasyStreet #records & #cafe and this was waiting for me from the staff when I got there. Yes, I cried as I got hugs. Suddenly not feeling quite so alone...

Getting ready to face my 1st day back in the world when a memory hits me: I once took a #Jewish kid and a #Muslim kid - already friends - into a #Catholic bar to teach them how to drink a proper #Scotch. Yeah; really need to #write that #book...

Weekly check in; while in the hospital for GI infections and heart attacks tragedy struck everywhere, it seems. 3 days coughing up blood not nearly as bad as the murder of #RobReiner. And #Australia?! AND #BUCKROGERS?!?!? #Book 6 out to readers, thinking maybe finding more? Soon going all #Linux.

I pop in here once a week to look around and check in. Today is one such day. Can't tell you how exciting it's gonna be to delete this account at the end of the year; once I get a few things done. I suppose that as The Universe reveals more in my dying I want for people less. 🤔

Welp, it's that time of year again; where we see how long it takes for Wham! to tell us their tale of a broken Yule heart. That's right, it's #Whamegeddon. Except this year I'm already in #Whahalla thanks to a SoCal friend at 0323 PST on day 1. 🤦‍♂️ Remember this is just for fun, so go have some.

I'll be shutting down my #Bluesky account at the end of the year. After joining at the beginning of 2025, dimensioning returns on the amount of effort put in, as well as all the adult content I can't filter, and other issues here just aren't worth it. December is my transition out; more to come.

14 casualties with - so far - 4 of them fatalities, and 2 of those children at a birthday party in Stockton, Ca. overnight. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I have maybe 16 months left to live and I am sick of reading about #MassShootings when I wake up. Sensible #gun control #laws NOW!

It's been a year full of amazing #music; especially as I build the dream soundtracks to my #book series. And right now I'm really enjoying the new release by @hauntedlikehuman.bsky.social; which I proudly backed. (HLH has a song on the A Bedtime Tale OST for book 7.) Don't pass on this. Trust me.

I don't think I like waking up, after being ill the past few days, to find out there were shootings in my old neighborhoods during the holiday, let alone a drunk 90 year old plowing their car into a coffee shop at nearly 75 mph on a residential street.

16 months. My care team says I should make it to my next birthday in March, but there's most likely not another in me after that. That may sound grim and morbid to you, but it's kind of a relief to finally have some kind of number to measure off. Of course, I should've died years ago, so...

#Youtube has been pushing a lot of #RobZombie on me the last few days, and today I found out why; a new #album is on the way this February. The first single, Heathen Days, is not his usual word salad, either. I had wondered what had gotten up with the man all these years on, now.

Got a couple of PMs and an email checking in since I've been radio silent this past week. I live; just under the weather and dealing with stuff, but thanks to those who asked. Here's a concept #sketch for the opening page for my #book series I'm #writing to show I'm still working...

Between the lack of engaging content on @bsky.app , my inability to get any engagement on this platform, and all the kink/adult stuff that still manages to get rammed into my eyes despite my attempts to the contrary, it's looking like it's time to go. #Tumblr or bring back my old site? 🤔

So, still recovering from a mass of trauma when... SURPRISE... new #music by #Robyn! What? Hey, I know I don't look the part, but I really dig her stuff. And if you've heard my @mixcloud.bsky.social station, No Genre Needed, you'd know I'm all about music. ALL MUSIC. Try it; you may like it...

My last 2 dedicated readers have #book 6 in my #fantasy series and I'm nervous and emotionally drained. A Bedtime Tale isn't just a series I'm #writing, it's my end of life therapy. In it I'm revealing and working out a lot about myself as I get ready to die. Here's a pre stroke colorized #sketch.

Charlie "Old Crow" Irons @ironchuck.bsky.social · 13/11/2025

My #art, post stroke, continues to improve. Except this isn't my style I've been using for nearly 15 years; it's like something I used back in early college? Eh. I'll take it. Looks like I'm almost strong enough to #illustrate my #book, again. Thanks for the encouragement, @bob-case.bsky.social

This past month after the stroke's been full of relearning things; walking, using my left arm, talking, handwriting, and... painfully... #art. I did, however, manage #writing #book six in my #fantasy series. Threw some color on a pre stroke #sketch to celebrate? Ugh. Still so much to relearn...

Reconnected with a young man, now a father, who I mentored in my sword fighting faire days. Not sure if it was harder for me to tell him the news of my incoming end, or for him to hear it. But it got me to thinking on a show I made a while back; sharing my inner world with any who would hear...

Today's big win was old coworker/friends from the @alleninstitute.org who graciously volunteered some of today to come over and help sort out the old crow's nest as I really can't now. I often battle loneliness dealing with what's happening to me, but today I was reminded I wasn't alone. Thanks.

I feel like a shower chair should be more humiliating, but I can't help but think of all the long, easy, sitting showers I'm so about to enjoy. So... trade off? 🤷‍♂️

Tragedy! Left arm till has issues post #stroke... which #MrCoffee has paid the ultimate price to discover. And I had that #coffee maker 8 years. (They don't make a replacement for my older model any longer.) 😔
