I just looked at your source and those figures are only for males. Females have gone down. But as I suspected the highest risk group is males 17-25. That is reflected in the insurance rates.

Jillian Segal claims that the war in Gaza is over represented on @news.abc.net.au and that constitutes bias. Commissioner Bell pushes back.

She says the conflict in Gaza is over-represented relative to other global conflicts.

Segal says there are “major famines, there are other wars that we don’t hear about at all in Africa”.

She says there is a “very serious perception that a community under attack here in Australia feels that the trusted national broadcaster is not presenting the situation in the Middle East in a way that they think is not bias and accurate.”

Commission Virginia Bell says to Segal: “I think it is fair to say that in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada there has been a great deal of media concentration on the war in Gaza and the image of Israel has suffered in all those countries.”

Bell asks if that means that broadcast media in all those countries suffer from some “bias”.

Segal agrees but says there is a “growing situation of appreciation of that problem in the UK”.
