Became President of my local Rotary Club of over 200 members from many different businesses. Was twice the winner of The Benjamin Award from the Postmaster General for achieving outstanding results in community outreach activities. He also appointed me to an Outreach Advisory Board tp provide input

I worked at the Post Office, where I quickly worked my way up to superviros than to a postmaster position in a small town, West Liberty, Iowa, then a little bigger East Moline, Illinois and finally Davenport, Iowa. I was responsible for millions of dollars in sales and in payroll, and media contact.

September 11, 1971, was the day that my wife and I got married. Therefore, 9-11-2001, was out 30th anniversary. I was in charge of a Post Office with 200 employees on that day, and during the anthrax letters attack shortly after that. That day changed all of our lives. Tomorrow we celebrate our 55!
