It's now 4 weeks after my total hip replacement. I'm feeling very good & having very little pain from my hip. I'm walking normally without assistance. It's gone great! Here's a picture of my incision after one month.

5 days after my hip replacement this glorious bruise appeared. It was not the cause of much pain though. My thigh muscles felt as though I had the worst cramp in history. I had managed to get 1 session of PT the day before this picture. I could move around my house, but only by using a walker.

My hip replacement was 4 days ago. The recovery has been rather painful. I wasn't supposed to get general anethesia but someone fucked up my spinal block. That made the afternoon of surgery miserable. I've seen progress each day, but my leg still hurts. I'm betting tomorrow will be better.

I've been saying this for years. Back in the 70s & 80s I regularly hit the maximum income for Social Security. My bookkeeper would come in & say, "You're getting a raise on your next paycheck. No more Social Security taxes!" I always thought it was unfair. It's more unfair than ever now.

I had a total hip replacement 2 days ago. The pain I had before the operation was often intolerable. X-rays showed my right hip had become bone-on-bone. I'm 76 & my hip wasn't going to improve. Post-op I have uncomfortable pain, but I do expect it to get better. I start PT tomorrow. Wish me luck.
