Grateful to board members Rod Stevens and Heather for being there and joining the thoughtful panel conversation. These are the moments that build momentum for justice. 🙌

The film lays bare the health and environmental toll of coal in Iowa. It was moving to see our Earth Day Rally featured—including moments of Rev. Heather Wachendorf and me speaking. 💚🔥

Last night I attended the premiere of Iowa’s Dirty Secret: The True Cost of Burning Coal—a powerful documentary from the Clean Up MidAm Coalition, which @iowafaithclimate.bsky.socialhas proudly been part of from the start. 🌱

Got a liturgy you wrote when you dedicated solar panels, heat pumps, a community garden or other environmental feature? We’d love to hear about it! @iowafaithclimate.bsky.social is building our next resource for and we are looking to share blessings to be used at houses of worship!

This morning I spent time talking about @iowafaithclimate.bsky.social with the Golden Valley District @uwfaith.bsky.social in Washington, Iowa. Talked about the importance of clean energy and helped the women craft their climate stories to take action! Not a shabby Saturday for climate advocacy.

There will be a day 3 for finishing the roof tomorrow and day 4 on Monday with the new gutters. The crew worked hard for another long day. Also grateful we got more puppy anxiety meds for the corgis.

Day 2 in full swing. Our roofer and his crew are fabulous, transparent, and just great. The company is 5 stars for us and the online reviews are similar. So we are grateful we went with them.

In a bright spot this week, I chatted with the @climatechris.bsky.social, @channingdutton.bsky.social, and @davidthoreson.bsky.social today for their Three Degrees podcast! Fun to chat about what @iowafaithclimate.bsky.social is up to and faith-rooted climate action.

Waiting for the snow to arrive so our 8 month corgi Simon can enjoy more than a light dusting. Shout out to NOAA for their publicly available weather data that made this forecast possible. I adjusted my schedule to stay home and not drive due to the timely alerts. #CorgiCrew
