The new ai model JEV makes decisions cheap and fast. Feed it context and instructions similar to an LLM and get back a score, a choice or a simple yes or no. I bet that insurance companies are already using this to deny claims. And CEOs are using it to decide who should get laid off.

After this weekend, there can be no doubt. @devindra.bsky.social will win the #summerMovieWager, calling 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 10th place on the nose. There were only two others (Germain and David) who even got 1 movie in the correct spot. Congratulations! Can't wait for Devindra's pick!

My projections for the top 10 movies of the summer in table format. I'm calling it now, I thought @devindra.bsky.social's path to victory was narrow. I was wrong. By Monday I think 3 things will be clear: The Odyssey will overtake Toy Story. Spiderman will be beat TS as well. And Devindra will WIN THE SUMMER MOVIE WAGER in 2026!

I've seen enough. The Odyssey will blow past Toy Story 5. It's 2nd week numbers are clearly sustaining a momentum that is stronger than what Toy Story had. I'll do a full analysis later.

Data centers take wealth and gives it to billionaires. First, LLM training strips the collective value of human thought. Then data centers extract the wealth of poor communities by making their homes unlivable and their water undrinkable. What value that can be monetized is given to tech oligarchs.

And by the time Spider-man comes out, we will know if the Odyssey is likely to surpass Toy Story. If it can't, Devindra's chances sadly drop to zero, and it's down to Peter and Germain. If Spider-man wins, Germain wins. If Toy Story wins, it's Peter. 4/

In another week, we may get a better sense of what place Moana will end up. If it never catches up with Scary Movie, that opens up another avenue for Germain and Devindra's chances evaporate. If it can't catch up to Disclosure Day, BJ is out of the running. 3/

Based on pre-sales, I think Spider-man will be a smash hit and overtake Toy Story (70% chance). If that happens Germain wins. That leaves a 25% chance that Peter wins or ties with BJ. And Devindra has only a 5% of winning (the Odyssey would have to beat Toy Story for 2nd). 2/

I think there are 4 other movies that will end up in the top ten: Spider-man, The Odyssey, Moana & Minions. It's too early to tell where they will fall. However, in many of the combinations that seem likely, Germain would win. That's who I'd have my money on. #summerMovieWager

Supergirl will not finish higher than 12th and may end up behind Mortal Kombat II. The opening weekend was a little less than Mortal Kombat and it's fall off will likely be worse. I don't think it catch up. #summerMovieWager

I made some changes to the projections of my website about the #SummerMovieWager. I refined the methods that it uses to project future box office for movies that have been released and I added a chart which shows those projections for the current top 10 movies. summer-movie-wager.netlify.app

The Devil Wears Prada 2 opened first (early May) and leads on actuals, plateauing near $220M. Obsession opened mid-May, climbs steeply to about $200M by June 19, and is projected highest of all, reaching roughly $260M.
