I feel like I have been fighting this shrub my entire life at this point. I attacked its lines with machete, pruner, and mattock only to find layers of impacted dirt and new layers of root, some as large as a half inch. This thing dies today. Tired of catching my foot on it.

Plant vs Man has a been a slow grind, a real Siege of Verdun, a very 72 hours into Iwo Jima and asking “what tunnels” sort of battle.

Working on balancing drills. I started studying wushu about a month ago and it became the thing that finally made me put down habitual smoking. I’m not throwing any advanced techniques yet but I can feel the base for those moves slowly getting stronger. Hope everyone finds some balance today ☯️

See, I *like* the wacky Edge of the Empire dice

The various dice of the Edge of Empire / Genesys system.

Basic skill checks and attacks are accomplished with green d8s bearing a mix of two symbols - a “hit” starburst and an “advantage” squiggeldydoo. The number of dice usually equates to the check’s stat value

Difficulty is set by purple d8s bearing opposing symbols - “fail” downward triangle - cancels “hit” - and “threat” hexagon - canceling “advantage”. For example a basic melee attack vs a target with no special abilities is two purple die.

There are blue “boost” and black “setback” d6 die bearing the same symbols as the d8.

Yellow “proficiency” d12 represents upgraded skill, with better die faces than the d8 including the “triumph” or crit

Red “challenge” d12 represents upgraded difficulty and the “despair” crit fail symbol

There is a white d12 used to determine the amount of Narrative Points for every session as well as Force abilities

Those are no match for a good Heavy Laser Rifle on your hip, kid.
