A tad crazy trans communist (she/her). Proud Lumpenprole and parasite on capitalist society. Mostly just post about random media, news and politics/philosophy going through my head.

One of the best reasons to try and understand hegel is so you can then drown out scientists with word salad of your own. 😇 /j

I should be able to call annoying people End of Evangelion Shinji coded when I want but at they would find something wrong with that to justify why they can't try and get better and glorifying their suffering.

But hospitals exist in this strange space in between the social institutions and their fancy sciences and doctor titles and authorities on one hand and the brute force of nature having the final say on the other.

every head stone is a reminder that this is beyond the domain of mere human authority, that is the final arbiter there.

Hospitals are always cause all sorts of strage subliminal feelings for me. When one is in a normal social institution one is surrounded by human authority and structures and with a graveyard for example it's the opposite:

the actual POVs, so then over time the reader can slowly try to piece together what happened to her and what she's after, plus why she's scary since for most people she's an antagonist, the problem is just getting the architecture of a narrative like that in place is killing me.

One of the big problems in the story i've been trying to outline for years now is that i want what is in a sense the main character not to be a POV for the vast majority and in fact be highly mysterious throughout much of the story and only seen in small snippets by other characters who are

It's so painfully beautiful when Hegel describes how he thinks modern citizens can recognize the rational role they play in their state and it's world historical telos. Like no bitch, i may believe in a world historical telos too but i'm clearly not a part of it, i'm utterly pointless.

is trying to make it fashionable to socialize with LLMs but if it's gonna actually beconomically on a large scale i'm almost certain that it'd create a luxary market for human services.

Sophie @iphasmid.bsky.social · 27/08/2026
market for mechanical ones. On the other hand i've read articles that argued that many elites in particular are so excited about LLMs because of basically the "it's lonely at the top" trope, and that might make a bit of sense. Rn it certainly seems like the whole AI elite

Sophie @iphasmid.bsky.social · 27/08/2026
And importantly: how much would that answer actually effect the demand for human services in the economy? Even if people become ever more atomized and tied to LLMs alone that could just create a new luxary market of actual human services, like how digital clocks just created a luxary

With LLMs and robots becoming ever more prevelant i think one of the interesting questions certainly is how well they'll be able to replace humans in service roles. How fulfilled can people be if they only really socialize with LLMs in a decade or two?

The only thing i can even think of a little is that i think i'm maybe a decent proverbial shoulder to cry on and ear to listen. I like to think i might have been some use to others like that over the years.

It's so funny what's booming in different parts of the world because of the ai boom rn. Not surprising at all, but i wonder how chinese companies react when their exports get cut by the bubble bursting. I wouldn't expect it to be super dramatic tbh, a lot of them arescarily porfitable rn anyway.

"Sin, then, is nothing else but disobedience, which is therefore punished by the right of the State only. Obedience, on the other hand, is set down as merit, inasmuch as a man is thought worthy of merit, if he takes delight in the advantages which a State provides."
