Arsenal fan since 70s. I blame Pat Jennings, Liam Brady and latterly Arsene Wenger.

Is the Premier league a joke now? Every day that C115ty is allowed to play in it without sanctions, I'm afraid, in my opinion, it is. Seven games unbeaten in a row yet another false achievement. Complete farce.two fingers being put up to everyone else and worse.....they don't care.

Arsenal making 60 job cuts is not a great news story. How much did the consultants doing the review cost? So much for community. Not sure how players can saunter in every day knowing somebody earning a year what they do in a week or less has just lost their job. Crazy world we live in.

Maresca needs to make some C115ty substitutions second half. I'd seriously consider bringing on either Oliver or Kavanagh to help change the game.😜

Despite the tv commentary's unrealistic expectation that Arsenal wipe every team off the pitch, as if opposition didn't have a say in things, I didn't think we played that bad first half. We weren't great, but we were always in control. Second half we upped it, and voila three goals of beauty. #COYG

Yes, I agree with that. Very often with the two yellows one of them is extremely soft and you can cite many examples, even in same game, where players get away with similar tackles with just a free.

You give soft cards early on and then await the chance to give a second. If it was a city player I'd say he'd get the benefit of the doubt. Just sayin' *Wink, Wink*

Sky sports acting like its a shock that City won today. They weren't suddenly gonna stop being good players because of what's happening around their club. Just like their club wasn't gonna stop what they were doing in 2018....that's why most of today's players are in the team.

Also f@#k off Alfie and Noel "among" the fans. They'll soon dodge the ordinary fans to go fine dining. They're as down with the ordinary bloke as their ownership.

Whenever C115ty have a tough game, especially against a team that may be a rival for title, a PL referee will inevitably either give them a beneficial decision or make one against their opponent. Happens far too often to be coincidence. Funny that, innit?

Well, City players antics at Anfield, smirking and laughing, has done them no favours. Of course, they wanted to win but have some humility and a sense of the gravity of what your ownership has done. Players have no credibility now in my opinion after that. Hope the PL throws the book at them all.

While city, given players at their disposal, might well have won anyhow. It's yet another very soft red card and beneficial refereeing decision. Lost count of how many times this happens in their big games or games by involving their closest rivals. The difference between a draw and a win.

The writing is on the wall for the slow, slow possession stranglehold football cos we feel we won't ever concede. Teans know how to set up against it and frustrate, plus we're conceding more than recently. But we won regardless because of our bench... three points so valuable however it arrives.

It really is too early in season to have a definitive view on whether we will retain title. Today's game showed worst and best of our play. Play like the second half and we'll have good chance of doing back to backs. What stood out for me is the strength of our bench. That may just swing it for us.

Once Arsenal stopped the slow, slow approach with always first thought to recirculate ball, and began to pass it forward with attacking intent they looked a completely different team. Took a Leeds goal though. Bench helped too. Leeds unfortunate. Great effort from them and why the PL is so strong.

My message to Arsenal players at half time. Play the game at a higher pace and stop the constant recirculating. I know Rice and Odegard are the players Arteta wants on the ball but our obsession with finding them makes us easy to defend against.

Leeds, while not really creating very clear-cut chances, have had best of things by far. Arsenal just plodding along recirculating the ball. No intensity or pace. Commentator amazed how Leeds get players back so quickly. Really? It's easy when we always turn back rather than risk a forward pass.

If c115ty continue to claim that they are innocent, the Premier League should threaten to investigate them from 2018 to date. Well, if you're innocent you would continue to act in a similar vein, wouldn't you? Therefore, the fraud must have continued.

Joe Cole justifying cheating live on tv. Too close to the nerve for ex Chelsea player, no doubt. He really is looking foolish. No one is saying players didn't play football on the field. But most of those players would not have been at city without cheating, & same for Chelsea back in the day.

Disappointed in our manager's comments, or lack of, rather, to inevitable questions about his former employers. Sure lawyers probably briefed him to say nothing. But City have been found guilty. They are guilty as it stands. Does his silence suggest he thinks they're innocent? I find it troubling.

I'm really struggling to understand what grounds city have for appeal after 4 years of investigation (they've had ample time to prove innocence) other than their owner's belief that spending enormous money overcomes all obstacles. The sense of entitlement is Trumpesque.

So, according to City's logic,as they are claiming conspiracy theory, it's the Premier League who are making figures up to punish them. Really? Why would they do that?

If footballing world thinks City 115 charges are biggest scandal in PL history, there's also the referees' favouring City to detriment of their rivals to consider (we all know who they are). Fancy a 20k junket to ref in Saudi, anyone?

Will be interesting to hear what Mikel says about City. He was assistant manager from July 16 to Dec 19. He was not responsible for finances but I feel to maintain his reputation he must acknowledge that he was duped by the ownership and that City's achievements while he was there are tarnished.

Originally wrote this in 2024 when we lost the title to them. It may have appeared sour graies at the time. City played great football with the world's best manager....but so could we all if we had untold money and are prepared to use it, regardless of rules, to fast track success.

Not just a coincidence that City news has been released when there's a 3 week hiatus in PL. Despite protestations of city fans, ownership and former players their achievements ARE bogus. With top lawyers they'll likely manage to avoid sanction to match crimes BUT will never avoid tag of cheats.

"They told me they did nothing wrong and I believe them" which is why I suddenly, without warning, decided to leave...... 😜 For Pep to admit they (City) are corrupt is to admit all his football work with them is a sham. He won't do that & decides to play the game. Same old City, always cheating.

They'll be told to sit on the naughty step for a while. All their so-called achievements are completely fraudulent....but we've always known that. So nothing changes. For me, only relegation and a transfer ban will do, and that doesn't make up for the 3 PLs Arsenal have been deprived of.

Havertz injured. Quel surprise? Hopefully out for a just a few weeks ... or never to return knowing our track history 🙄 Not a lethal striker by any strech but a talented technical player, favoured so much by Arteta, but unfortunately he just can't stay injury free for us.

You would think with Arteta agreeing a new contract that he has had reassurances about new players. Not just "we're gonna try," but "we're gonna do it." It's universally agreed that our main weakness is a lack of pace on the counter. Other areas that need addressing I feel is right back position.

@arseblog.bsky.social @gunnerblog.bsky.social Do you think Arteta's loyalty to Havertz over Gyokeres is a weakness? Havertz, while a very talented link player, fluffs his chances more often than not. Gyoketes deserved a chance but the manager only brought him on when we were already three down.

invinciblemac.bsky.social @invinciblemac.bsky.social · 20/09/2026
If Arteta is to be criticised it has to be his inability to get players to gel with Gyokeres' styke. He, like a lot of fans, has decided he's surplus to requirements & doesnt fit the "Havertz" game. He's not Havertz. That's the point, so don't set the team up like he is. Plan B anyone?

The Premier League has never been won after 5 games. I warned that start of league may well be difficult for us after World Cup. We actually have negotiated it well up until yesterday. Let rival fans bask in the glory that we lost for all they want. Knowing this manager & squad "it isn't done" yet.

Hear xg being used to imply it was an ok performance, beaten by long range strikes. Really? We had loads of the ball but with absolutely no impact. At one stage of first half Odegard turned & jinked three times with ball on the one spot before eventually passing it back to Raya. Xg that for me!

Totally agree. And these games can happen. You need to ride your luck and take some points. We failed miserably at that. So, now we have to make sure we are up for Leeds and resign today to the history books. We've done it before.

Atleast manager praised Brighton & accepted we were beaten by better team. He did however reference the four away games we've had & there's merit in that. But Brighton were away at Old Trafford and we rested most of our first team at Ipswich, so not an excuse. We were not good, they were. Simple as.

You don't get extra points for creating "clear" chances. You said it wasn't a three nil game, so by inference you are saying we deserved more. I'm saying that three nil was deserved, and tbh it could have been much worse. We weren't at the races & should be humble enough to accept that.
